The good news is that Wenger has a transfer kitting of 45 million which is actually true this time and I do think we will spend atleast half something like 20 million
CF - Chamak
CB - One very good CB for around 10-12 million e.g Martin Caceras, Boateng (alhtough city might have already bought him), Bonnuci
CM/DM - A player to take over Gilberto Silva role a player like Melo or Veloso (10-15 million)
GK - I know people want to get a new keeper and I hope we do but I just dont see Wenger buying a new keeper. He has too much faith in his players and hopefully Fabianski can step up like Song and Diaby have this season
Released - Sendros, Silvestre, Sol, Bothelo, Randall, Gilbert
Brought into the first team - Barazite, Merida (if he stays), Lansbury, Harvard Norvedit (if wenger keeps him)
Sold -Jay Simpson, maybe Eduardo
Loaned - Wilshere, JET, Hoyte, Ayling, Lansbury, Wojciech, Watt, Bartley, Sunu, Craig Eastmond, Barazite, Thomas Cruise, Emmanuel Frimpong

Hamsik is more of a replacement to Fabrgeas but I would go for Melo or Veloso who are very good defending and good going forwardthatgooner wrote:Marek Hamsik of Napoli...
Quality footballer. him, song and cesc would be great in a 3 man middle.
I knew about Sagna, Eduardo and Arshavin but not about Vermaelen and Adebayor.PI7ES wrote:Has anyone ever guessed a wenger signing other than arshavin. I hadnt ever heard of vermaelen, sagna, adebayor, eduardo before we bought them.
Impossible to predict.

Chamak 90K not it will be more like 50-70K not more than that and a 45 Million transfer kitting doesn't include wages I think since you pay them weekly with the revenues you make from matchdays, shirt sales and so ondigger wrote:You've all forgotten.... a £45m "kitty" at Arsenal includes transfers.
Chamakh is therefore not free. He'll probably get 90k per week, and a 3 year deal = £15m.
I'd like us to sign a keeper... We were linked with Sebastian Frey (£15m transfer fee, plus 3 years @ 60k = £10m)
That's £40m already

At any other club, the transfer fee is the total cost of the player, but Arsenal always look at "total cost of ownership".Jason_arsenal2010 wrote:Chamak 90K not it will be more like 50-70K not more than that and a 45 Million transfer kitting doesn't include wages I think since you pay them weekly with the revenues you make from matchdays, shirt sales and so on
No idea how much Chamakh will arrive on, but I'd have thought Bordeaux would have paid £50k per week to keep him. I'd at least expect a decent "signing on" bonus.

I agree to some extent, especially about Melo I rate him very highly.. But I think with the way we play football, having 2 attacking midfielders and a holding midfielder would work so I still see Hamsik as an option, rumours are that he could be leaving in the summer, sadly it looks like we'd have to compete againt juve and man u.Jason_arsenal2010 wrote:Hamsik is more of a replacement to Fabrgeas but I would go for Melo or Veloso who are very good defending and good going forward.thatgooner wrote:Marek Hamsik of Napoli...

Dont think that we could get Melo from Juve tbh.
I do like Frey, decent keeper and I think it'd be possible to get him.

I used to like Having Petit and Vieira play together and we are very leaky at the back so it will sure up our defense and Hamsik is just too attacking for me.thatgooner wrote:I agree to some extent, especially about Melo I rate him very highly.. 4--2-3-1 formation will mean
Our back four then Song, Melo and then three atacking players and then a striker.
A more defensive formation then 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1

In reality i doubt very much if we look at it any different to any other club, transfer kitty means money set aside to pay transfer fees, it's self explainatory, now if it was called transfer and wages kitty then that would be a different matter..digger wrote:At any other club, the transfer fee is the total cost of the player, but Arsenal always look at "total cost of ownership".Jason_arsenal2010 wrote:Chamak 90K not it will be more like 50-70K not more than that and a 45 Million transfer kitting doesn't include wages I think since you pay them weekly with the revenues you make from matchdays, shirt sales and so on

We shouldn't confuse the relentless attempts over the last few years to cover up our lack of spending with all sorts of jibberish and nonsense and re-interpretations of phrases and words with reality..wages come from club income, turnover, not from transfer kitties..
