Im talking about number 1 keepers.. Yeah we have had Wright, that Swedish bloke shabban, Flappy, Manonne..... But which number 1 keeper is worse for us? It must be before my timeSteveO 35 wrote:Slightly harsh flash, given that we've seen Fabianski on a number of occasions in the past two yearsflash gunner wrote:The username of the thread starter is what makes me laugh within this thread..... Sorry mate, I misunderstood your post. In terms of the regular number 1 I think you are probably right. Pat Jennings was number 1 when I started watching and I would agree that compared with him, Lukic, Seaman and Lehmann, Almunia is not in the same bracket.flash gunner wrote:Im talking about number 1 keepers.. Ignoring the fact wether he's good enough or not thats a debate for a different day but you have to admit he never stood a chance. He did have an awesome season last year but even then fans were still on his back they just never took to him or rated him if he had carried on last seasons form people would still be calling for his neck. He was fighting a losing battle all the way.
