Future

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This is yet another piss take thread right?

No, total bullshit. Wenger hasn't been a magician since 2004. Wenger lost it some time ago, he never had it at all this season and got lucky because teams like Man City and Spuds fucked up against little teams. Arsenal will not win anything under Arsene Wenger in the future unless he completely changes his mindset and habits.

you cant use the young team line but you can undestand why he had to find these young players and not buy world clas players outright can't you
we build a fu@king brand new world class that is probably the best looking in EPL ( I have been to four Spuds, United, Pool and West Ham).
When you buy a stadium your debt goes sky high and these debts mean that your iincomes dries up and wages go down meaning you need to cut some of your world class players and we did it with Vieira, Henry but now we have recently signed almost all of our players to long term contract.
We are brining in a quality striker and hopefully some quality CB's so I can see us being a force again this season
I know we didnt win any of our London derbies against Chelsea and also lost against United but we were very very good against all the small teams and only lost to Sunderland (even though we showered them with strikes) and against ity who did play better than us on the day
Last year we won against Chelsea and if I am right also United but what did we achieve nothing this year we were so close and if RVP hadn't been injured then I think you all could have sen the difference it would have made.
I know people will say that RVP is injury prone and he will get injured again but Wenger has found a solution to that aswell know with the addition of CHamak.
Song has really stepped up and probably is the best DM in EPL right now
Vermaelen is easily the signing of the season
Fabregas has been outstanding and actaully gone up a level even though Its hard to think he could have gone up a level
Arshavin has been disappoiniting but Nasri has stepped up when needed
Diaby was great at the start of the season but faded out in later stages and adding someone like Melo will really solidfy our mdfield
WE had to play with Sol and Silvestre at the back who dont fill anyone with a whole lot of comfort and its easy to say that wenger should ahve signed someone in January to remedy the problem but was good defender sold in January I doubt it. WHo knows maybe clubs didnt want to sell their star defenders in January
Gk - is a situation where most want something to be done but I really dont think it will happen I think Wenger has faith in skills of fabianski and he will surely give him a chance to get better and if he doesnt then he will sell him and Almunia contract is up next summer so he will be gone to

This team, this "project" has sadly reached end of a road. They never won anything and will never win anything.

Next season youyll have Chavsky, manUre, ManShitty (with all that money and CL spot) and probably Liverpool with Mourhino in charghe.

Throughout summer we'll be fed bullshit from Wenger such as "keeping this squad fit and together equals buying new players" etc...

How will this Arsenal team get into top4 next season?

No fucking chance.

ok so what will you do
bring in any manager in the world and as long as we have a board who give you limited amount of money then they will have to do the same thing as wenger is doing which is controlled spending
so dont give me crap that clubs will spen why dont we
United have a 750 million debt that will probably end up ruining them and they are a one man team. They are hardly making any profit and any aqusictions will be through Ronaldo sale who we tried t acquire it was his choice to go to united
Chelsea is being bank rolled by that fu#k russian billonaire and when the spending cap comes in place then chelsea will be supremly f#cked same for City. Since their wages are more than the revenue they make which cause them to sell players at a frantic pace
Liverpool wont even make the CL spot and their financial problems are well documented who knows if you will see Torress and Gerrad in a pool shirt next year.

Only reason why Chamakh is joining us is because he will cost us fuck all. We are not buying much needed quality.

I wouyld not be surprised if Gary Neville joins us in summer, on free of course...

You dont really think there will ever be a spending/wage cap? Imagine Premier League chairmen voting in favour of that.... Its would be like turkeys voting for Christmas...... I smell a rat here i think Jason is a scum supporting WUM

A polite note can we use PL and not EPL. If we are going to start down that road we might as well start calling the game soccer with offence and de-fence! It's so American.

First and foremost I would stop bullshiting supporters into believing that we are seriously challenging for trophies. I would tell them the truth: for next 5, 10, 15 years our main objective is top4 and everything else is bonus. But truth would not sell corporate seats, would it?

Secondly, I would get rid of pretty much everyone, Wenger included. No "BIG CLUB" can alloww to go 5 seasons without a trophy. So eithert Wenger goes or we stop considering ourselves a "Big club"

Thirdly, I'm praying for David Dein to come back. Now that was a man with a vision.
