But that only accounts for one of the goals today. The second half performance was completely lazy. Despite having a chance (albeit slim) of getting back into the title race they thought they could coast past Wigan, who are fighting for survival.
I wanted RVP to come on for the whole of that second half. When we conceded the first he should have defintely come on instead of clowns like Merida and Eboue. He would provided a huge distraction to Wigan.

Can't believe the result today. It's not the first time this season we've thrown away a two goal lead, but as soon as they got the first you knew Arsenal would capitulate as they have done time and time again.
One positive to come out of the game - at least we now know that Fabianski is definitely shit.
Why Wenger waited so long to bring on RVP I dont know, but to be fair the guy has been out six months and wouldn't have coped with a full second half.
I do think the players should reimburse the cost of tickets to the 4000 travelling gooners today - how many times have we seen this team fold under pressure, or get a lead and sit back?
The invincibles went two nil up and proceeded to pummel teams 4, 5, 6-0 week in week out. This team go two nil up and think that'll do. It shows inexperience and lack of quality.
Trouble is, I look at Arsenal's squad and we need 5-6 quality players. I think Chamak will be a good signing for us, but that still leaves 5 more - one goalkeeper, one, maybe two at CB, and probably two midfielders.
Annoying thing is that I'm not part of the Arsene Knows brigade - he should be accountable as hes the one who picks the team. However, I'm most definitely not a fan of the current board. They're happy to take our money week in week out, but put nothing back into the squad. I'm absolutely convinced it's not because Wenger doesn't want to spend it, it's because Wenger doesnt have it.
This year, finally, it appears the board will give him some money - and I will be stunned if he doesn't spend every penny.
I also think there's a lot of dead wood in the team which Wenger has been putting up with for two long. I hope now that he finally chucks them out on their ear and that includes Arshavin who's the laziest player i've seen in a long time. We've been a team of underachievers for too long - it's time to sign some experienced quality and lets go destroy the premier league this season.
