Sevilla 3-1 Arsenal
From the start I can honestly say I didn"t think we were going to win here. Its not because I am not an optomistic fan but because I don"t understand why Arsene felt the need to once again play the fringe players even if we have a tough line of fixtures coming up. I feel the only players that are in the best team tonight were Almunia, Toure and Cesc.
For many years as an Arsenal fan I have looked at us with our young team to almost be as good as the first team and no matter where we finished I though we had the best crop of young players in the world but tonight I think I have been proved wrong.
Firstly Phillipe Senderos, who I can honestly say is worse then Pascal Cygan and Igor Stepenovs put together. I would like to see the back of him as soon as possible. His main problem is that he is two slow and after tonight he thinks that he is a keeper. I honestly do not want to see him in an Arsenal shirt again.
Also Armand Traore. Now I am not saying that I want him out but he had a huge reputation on his shoulders and he was not at it tonight and he let us down. The next player who had a bad night was Denilson who is a talent but had a night he will want to regreat. But my main point is that our GREAT young players are being found out. I am not saying that we don"t have the best young players I am just saying in Europe unless we have 1st place qualified we should never play a whole youth team.
I am not going to bring up the whole goalkeeping debate again but I really wonder if Almunia is a world class goalkeeper and I am not saying bring back mad Jens I am just raising the point.
So I am obviously dissapointed tonight and I am sure most of you are. My main concern is that with this team we have played in the last two CL matches could have got us a draw against AC Milan instead of Porto or something like that. I also thought they were a lot better then what they have proved to be and I am not saying Sevilla are a bad side but we didn"t even create much.
Another huge concern is the defence even though it was mainly Philly"s fault and I want to see him out.
I hope the squad pulls together a lot better then this for a very, very though December.

Big Phil who returns from injury for his first game, no surprise he was rusty but I fail to see how this was all his fault? Yes he mucked up for the first but the others blame lies elsewhere and no, he didn't think he was a keeper, he used his chest.
We did fine till Sevilla equalised and then we lost our way, I don't know if it was a lack of leadership or too many second string players. How we bounce back from this will be important but you bring up some valid points.

we were well in control after the goal and the equaliser really affected us in a negative way. A very good side at home will take advantage and they did..
We had no leaders there today and not enough induvidual performances but lets not get carried away, they're a superb squad of players, maybe this was just one step too far for them..Its nothing to be ashamed of..
We were missing Gallas, Adebayor, Flamini, Hleb, Van Persie, Clichy, and Rosicky and Sagna didnt start so I think we can put in perspective a bit..
