but who says his objectives from the board are to win the league or win any trophy. he is on a limited budget so the board obviously know that and set him lower objectives which im sure hes fulfilled. he said we are in a stronger financial position this year so lets hope we see some money spent

but isnt that part of the problem, he says this every year and then buys maybe one player but moves out a couple.

well Chamakh should be coming on a free transfer, that'll be one decent player signed with no transfer fee spent. I think if we sign one clynical striker, another centre back and obviously a new goalkeeper we will be challenging. my other worry is arsenes training methods, it is not normal for this many players to get injured all the time, we never have an injury free team

We give him one more season in my opinion.

If media reports are to be believed ( ) he has realised the need for investment in the first team (ESPECIALLY A FUCKING GOALKEEPER) and is working on it.

If by the end of next season no tangible progress has been made then we can merely not renew his contract and the club and wenger can part ways with dignity.

We will then need to rebuild the squad - alot of this team are like babies that have been suckling on Wenger's teet for far too long now so i expect some will agitate for a move once he goes. We sell them off and use this money as a "war chest" ( ) for our next manager.

Whatever happens, you cannot keep AFC down forever. We'll be back.

So if he has no money to spend then he is complicit in the lies and bullshit spewing from the board and by the law of the land that would make him a part of an ongoing conspiracy. Dont get me wrong cos I aint suggesting for a nanosecond that anybody should be charged with fraud but I simply cannot understand how some fans believe that there is no money there to spend when every law in the land says that making such false statements to shareholders in 100% illegal

To be honest I am sick of the whole lot of them - we have a board of lying no good for nothing *word censored*, a manager who has badly lost his way and a squad largely made up of lazy, non caring, sub standard and in some cases downright shite wasters but we are supposed to allow this to continue out of sentiment and/or loyalty to wenger ? :? Where do you think wenger's loyalty lies.....to the board or to the fans ? If you think it is us then you are clearly deluded

Also can I ask where the likes of Cesc, Arshavin and RVP fit into this sentimental arguement ? If we are to believe that cesc will stay one more season (I still doubt it myself) then do we believe that he should just sacrifice another year of his career cos we as a club are content to drift along ? If you were a player with a short career would you not want to be with a club that is ambitious and wanting to win trophies ? I have heard a lot of bullshit comments about the great condition the club will be in when wenger leaves but if all or some of those 3 leave what will that leave any new manager to work with cos this much fabled youth set up aint producing shit (or should that read that all they are producing is shit ? )

It is my belief that we should bring in a new manager in the summer and give him a season to show the likes of cesc that he is capable of bringing the club forward and maybe just maybe he might convince them to stay. Making such a move would almost assure us of another 2 years at least of no trophies but if the new man came in and was seen to be addressing our weaknesses (ie getting rid of the likes of diaby, almunia etc and recruiting where needed) then at least we could see the manager and club making genuine efforts to change things at the club. Right now the sad thing is that seems like there is an acceptance that we wont win squat and we are unwilling to change things

most of the posts are very depressing cos smacks of new wave impatient couch potato glory hunters but i would ask all the sack wenger its all his fault brigade to consider the following

if you were to rate our players in terms of ability importance and injury free playing to full potential many would not argue that the top six in no particular order would be fab, rvp, arse shavings, verminator, willie and song.

we have recently been without all six and all at the same time. i genuinely believed a few weeks ago we had real chance ofwinning league but would have considered it impossible had i known all six would be out.

i am not sure any team any manager could cope with arguably the best six players being out and all at the same time

Well said. But why didn't he strengthen the squad in Jan? We all see that our subs are not good enough. I wont blame him if he bought in some players in Jan. The fact that we didn't win is because we don't have any backup of our top six players as you mentioned. So who needs to take responsiibility? If he doesn't come out and say there was no money, even I am his admirer,I think it's his time to go and we have to move. And I appreciate what he did for us. He will be my legend always :barscarf:

I dont think 6 years of not winning a trophy is unrealistic or impatient for a club of our stature and infrastructure is unreasonable, just one will do.

as has been outlined on previous threads,Chelsea have been without numerous key players this season as have united, but seeing as they have better squads than us it doesnt show as much and they have been able.

how much longer do we give wenger?i would like to know the rose tinters answer to it,just curious, would you let him go on for another 1 year? 2 ? 5?

and then what happens? we sell all the deadwood in a week, the board release £200 million, we sign 11 world class players and go on a decade long spell of dominance that includes 4 trebles, 5 doubles and a quadruple?

Fuckin grow up!

Realistically, Wenger goes....Cesc goes. Denilson and co will stay, the new manager will have limited funds and we will be back to square one!

I hate Flappy, with an absolute passion! But were all 3 goals directly his fault?.... Nope.

The first was a mixture of Diaby not tracking back and marking his man, and the defence leaving a big fucking hole in the 18 yard box!
The second was flappies fault
The 3rd was a curling shot that went in off the post - not the keepers fault! Defensive fuck up if anything.

In essence, Flappy faults = 1 goal ...... we scored 2!

spoona this is what annoys me about this forum -people like you talking shit -spewing out "facts " that are simply not true . i make point of six best players all out at same time.

you say similar problem for muppets and chelski . bollocks i say.

name what you think are each of their best six players and then tell me how many of them all out at same time. you wont get close.

you are a fucking glory hunter who has no idea what it was like to support club between 1953 -1969 - no trophies 1971-1987 onetrophy.

if most genuine gooners had your attitude there would be no club to support

BUT ANSWER THE SIX INJURED PLAYER POINT -YOU WONT COS YOU CANT

Would have been nice if he actually dived for the shot, instead of watching it go by him though, ok he MAY not have got to it, but at least he would have showed us he was actually trying. :?

I have no sympathy for Wenger. He makes some very odd decisions at times. Why bring RVP on so late? Why not strengthen in January when we badly needed to. Why not work on seeing a game out in the last 10 minutes?
