I came on here to try and make a serious point and all you lads want to do is praise Redtube :x

Well OK it is pretty good stuff  but anyway  We need a player for the right wing and a central defender for when Kolo is away in Africa and Phil is away on the dole

Now lets try H-e-a-t-h-e-r......

Wii's are Wii'ly rubbish to play on your own! and lets face it, how often does the rs let you have mates round, can see i getting really boring really quickly, I'll stick with the 360 I got for ree until the PS3 price drops!

Get rid of Traore??!!! And have who as a reserve left back exactly?! Traore is a fantastic palyer already and is very young, yae he wasn't amazing against Seville but neither was Cesc and I don't see people calling for his head, poor Traore played behond Eduardo on the left wing who is not in any way a left winger and I remebmer him making a couple of saving tackles in the box (most probably after swiss phil fuck ups)

Out:

Swiss (2 mill)
Gilberto (11 mill please!! would let go for 6 though!)
Jens (3 mill)

In:

Djourou from loan
New CB
New GK

I'd leave Carlos Vela where he is for the rest of the season, we have lpnty of strikers at the mo and he is just starting to get gamse in la liga

I too would leave vela where he is as long as he is getting games and is committed to rejoining us in the summer.

I would buy anelka as a matter of urgency cos we do not a top quality striker with pace that can score on a regualr basis(take note ade).

As I have said before we need a top quality keeper as a priority. Almunia is nowhere near as good as mad jens even let alone top class.

I suppose we could do with a commanding centre back. Unlike most of you I am very reluctant to turn on senderos - he was a great prospect 2 years ago when many christened him as swiss tony(after TA) but has hit the skids since and doesnt like like he will recover from the mauling he repeatidly received from didier dogbreath any time soon. However he is totally committed to the club and always gives his all for us so while that may not be enough to play for our great club it is enough to spare him from receiving stick from me. Eboue on the other hand

Djouru returning is great news and for me he should never been let go out on loan. Can anyone tell me how our young norwegian centre back is doing with the reserves ? I eagerly look forward to monitoring his progress with the reserves on Arsenal TV from December.

In the summer i said we needed a top class keeper, a winger and a striker. I still believe that.Almunia has done o.k but will never be top class and i think Jens is over the hill.We should not have to play with a failed full back Eboue on the wing,And i still believe we are short upfront.RVP is top class but Ade is hit and miss although he runs all day,No one knows how good Eduardo is,and Bendtner and Theo are ones for the future.

As for departures Gilberto and Jens are certs. As much as i would like us to sell Swiss Cygan it wont happen till next summer

In:
The other Swiss defender as agreed, good cover for the African Cup
A left winger, I don't really mind who but just someone to help cover for when Mozart is injured

Out:
Nobody, we need all the players and experienced ones we can get over the course of the season. Only if they are being disruptive should they go midseason

No no no Magic and I am not stirring up old things here!

There are players that are simply not in the frame really anymore and as we live with a board that is more content with balance sheets than trophies we will have to sell!

So let us be realistic and face the fact that some departures will be sad as those guys brought us joy and be happy with others cos we robbed a club for a bag of shit we don't need and so we had a result!

In goal, it really is simple, at least till the end of the season: start playing Jens. We can't get the best in January, so let's deal with it in the summer. But please Arsene, for the love of all that is good, put Jens in now!

I agree with augie re Senderos - very easy to have a pop at him when he's just had one of his mares but he has ability, competes and he can play a role as part of a squad. But Djourou going out on loan was a very good move - he'll come back into the fray with lots of match experience.

I know he hasn't played well recently, but Gilberto is an important component in our CB cover even if CM offers few chances for him. His Arsenal career is clearly drawing to a close but I hope we don't let him go before before the summer.

Up front, as I've said elsewhere, if Eduardo doesn't hit form by the end of December, I would go and get a proven striker and Anelka would be my preference. I like Agbonlahor but could we be sure he would get the goals we would need?

The clearest gap is on the left wing. I don't know if Modric is thought of for that but I would prefer to have a true winger available. Pedersen is one possibility. Another who might want a move might be Stewart Downing.

The only one to go that I can think of would be Justin Hoyte. Nice guy and always gives his all but I just don't think he's good enough, and he should probably be given a chance to try his luck elsewhere.

To summarise:

IN: Anelka (maybe), Modric/Pedersen/Downing/AN Other left winger

OUT: Hoyte

DOWNING!!!WTF!

Neither he or Pederson is really good enough in my opinion. In the summer I would have taken Pederson, but now that I've paid more attention when I've watched him, I don't think so.

And Augie:

Havard Nordtveit is doing well last I heard. Captaining the side is he not? Although he was injured at one stage.

26/may/89, while I do agree with most of what you said(especially about re-instating jens) I have to agree with ram re downing cos he simply is nowhere near and I mean nowhere near good enough to play for us - fact is I'd rather have martin hayes back  While I do agree that we could do with a natural left winger I feel that the priorities lie elsewhere ie a top top keeper(buffon) and a natural striker with pace(anelka). I keep referring to the pace issue with a striker because I think it is an absolute must in any striker we buy but is an ingrediant that is often overlooked by fans. If we are to assume that van persie is no.1 striker(and if he aint I dont know who is) then he def needs a partner with pace cos for all his attributes it is obvious that pace isnt one of them. Eduardo looks a natural goalscorer but appears lacking in pace and if he is drifting out or lined out on the wing then he cannot make the ground up for when the ball is in the danger area but would love to see him prove me wrong on that

I knew I'd get that sort of response re Downing, so am pleased at RaM's post!

Downing's a leftfield one to suggest (both literally and metaphorically) but there is some rationale here: I'm only thinking of us having a back-up to Rosicky who also offers a true left-sided alternative, I'm not thinking of anything more than that Downing's no genius but he has ability, can score great goals, put in a good cross and can run at defenders. I also think he's the sort of player Wenger would get the best out of. But you may be right, he may be a sub-Martin Hayes!

Pedersen is a more obvious alternative, and in the summer he was the one I wanted us to go for, but frankly his season so far (in a Blackburn side that is doing well) has been poor. So, RaM, we agree on that!

Is there anyone else who can offer the left-sided, left-footed alternative we need and who's a realistic (even if expensive) target? Happy to consider the alternatives.
