How long have you supported The Arsenal?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What a first game! My first game was Arsenal v Derby. Anelka scored and i think we won 2-0. Dont hold me to that though.

since dennis signed for us.

which means i'm not a glory hunter, but a dennis hunter :D

i supported my local team (gremio) in my youth, but got disappointed with the lack of professionalism in brazilian football and didn't really had a team to support. when dennis signed i started following arsenal as best as i could, which means very little. in 98 i watched most our goals and highlights on weekend football shows - and around 2000 the games started being broadcasted here, and i was finally able to really support the team - even if by distance.

Born in November '88, first game I remember were the Sampdoria semis in 1995, Seaman the hero in the second leg. Only went a handful of times to Highbury but go loads since the opening of the Emirates. I'm proud to have supported a club that has only had the 11th highest net spend on players over the past 15 years yet still has won 3 League Titles, 4 FA Cups and been to the Champions League final. Rather we do things the right way than being close to bankruptcy, get a Russian sugar daddy who spends £450 million, only wins 2 titles and can't make the champions league final, and the players are a bunch of wankers. AFC 'til I die! And I'll be at Ewood on Bank Holiday Monday! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Born in 89, went to my first game in 94 (Man City at home) with my grandad and dad.

First favourite player was Paul Merson, he always seemed to be joking about and smiling on the pitch, and he scored some great goals against Mounchengladbach (spelling?)

I felt really jealous of all my Man U "supporting" friends when I was younger (some of which still haven't been to OT) but my old man wouldn't have it. I had no choice. I was going to support Arsenal. I was going to hate those horrible *word censored* from down the road. End of.
