How long have you supported The Arsenal?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Supported us since summer 1968, first game I went to was in Oct 1971. Can't remember too much about my first season supporting us, my only real memory of a game that season is losing the League Cup final to Swindon Town

It's interesting to note that there seems to be more mature posters than not.

I did suspect this was the case when i decided to join.

What's also interesting is that it's not only the younger fans that are increasingly disillusioned by Wenger's ways.

My first home match was Everton in the League Cup semis in 88. I won 3-1.
So after the 79 final I had to wait nearly ten years before actually watching my heroes in the flesh!

1977.
Fell in love with the red shirt with white sleeves and cannon.
Used to listen to BBC Radio match reports as a youngster (there was no live footy on TV back then in NZ).

First live match seen on TV was '78 FA Cup Final.
First live match attended was 2-nil v Bolton at Grove on October 20, 2007.
Second live match attended was 7-nil v Slavia Prague in Euro Cup.
Third (and last so far) live match attended was 1-all v Liverpool at Anfield on October 28, 2007.

No need for red faces, Gusher.
