As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Gooner since 1990 first game 2000, Highbury. Think it was Southampton not sure still got me ticket, I was in North bank lower, 2-0 the Arsenal from memory. Was a barman in Whetstone, The Bull and Butcher, got me tickets off locals that werent going, Gooners are Great people. I have some great memories that wouldnt have happened had I not been a Gooner. The day I left London to go home (NZ), it was a sunday, the pub packed out with Gooners and locals to say goodbye, I've never had so many drinks in front of me, and Arsenal paraphenalia out the ying yang, then they made me do a speech, and before I even started speaking I started welling up, was blubbing like a baby by the end, the generosity of those people and the fact they took time out to come and say goodbye to a mere barman, is something that has stayed with me from that day. Glad I am, and PROUD TO BE A GOONER.
First game attended was April 1988 v Norwich at Highbury in the league, aged 8.
Second was a few weeks later at Wembley for the Littlewoods Cup final defeat to Luton.

Vaguely remember being taken by my dad and his mates when very young early eighties can't remember who against but first game proper Highbury v Watford October 11th 1986, 3-1 win.
Remember getting England manager Bobby Robson's autograph before the game - a lovely bloke - and Watford keeper Tony Coton getting sent off.
Will never forget walking up the stairs to the West Stand, as soon as I saw the green pitch I thought "I love this"
Have got that game's programme as my new picture, the gimp is no more

remember my first game at highbury being against villa in 96, freezing my bol$£ks off as it was a december game... was just wearing the home shirt which my dad got me before the match along with a pennant, scarf and a massive ARSENAL flag which spent the next couple of years hanging outside my window.... still got the chip bag from the stadium to this day..

I'm an Arsenal fan for about ten years I guess. RTL (a commercial TV-station in Holland) broadcasted one EPL game every weekend. That's when I started to like Arsenal.
I was about twelve years old when my sister came back from Italy with two fake football shirts (for me and my twin brother): one Arsenal shirt with Overmars and a Man U with Beckham. I chose the Beckham one because Overmars had just left Arsenal for Barça. Stupid argument of course.
When I first saw Highbury and Arsenal on tv, it all changed very fast. My first match at the Emirates was last season against M'brough in April. Never been to Highbury, unfortunately.
This season I was at the AZ Alkmaar away game and next month I'm going to Arsenal - Fulham.
