As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
At time's he is totally brilliant and looks committed and the next day he's bad-mouthing the club and drooling over another(mostly Barca..).
He is a good player and if we gonna believe the press then he has been playing through the pain barrier, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But as good as he is, I don't think Barca will even look at him as he doesn't play consistently well enough. He never tracks back to help with defending - and the odd time he does, it make me realise why he doesn't -he just can't defend.
So Mr. Arshavin....I was a great fan of yours and hoped Wenger would sign you, but would the real Arshavin please step up to the plate...if not then FFS I hope AW sells you to the Spuds...as you not helping our cause anymore.

C'mon AA23.....show us your mettle
I couldn't have put it better myself, its time for him to really step it up next season.
A decent pre-season and no World Cup will hopefully see AA on fire next season.
He needs to be played in a suitable position. too.
Playing him as a lone striker was not fair on anyone.
He should shut up. IMO his comments about our team not being good enough to win the league at a time when we were flying, were incredibly counter productive. If he doesn't want to be at Arsenal just sod off.

Note the ‘Tottenham striker’ introduction. Also, this is a rough english translation.
The question posed to Arshavin was relating to how good Barce are at the moment. There is no footballer in the world who would not want to play in the Barce side that came to the Emirates if they are honest.
I simply dont see the big controversy. This is NOT at all like Adebayor shooting off his mouth about how much AC Milan and Barce want to sign him.
Arshavin is answering how Ronaldo might answer if he was asked the same question. Or Drogba. or Rooney.

There's seems to be a laziness amongst posters and even Mods to ensure threads aren't duplicated, triplicated and even quadrupuled.
Are the Mods solely here to weed out trolls and WUMs? If so, does it require having 7-8 Mods for that job alone?
The forum is a good one but things like this make it ever so frustrating.
If y'all feel like banning or reprimanding me then do so but I feel it has to be aired.
Apologies to bengelton for hijacking his thread but a little bit of investigating can go a long way.
Firstly, I totally agree with you that it is annoying as hell to find several threads about the same thing. We have been asking our members to look a little bit before starting a new thread constantly for the last couple of years. Unfortunately they are genrally lazy and won't do so!
We took a harder stance on it a while ago and started locking repeat threads. Our members complained about that!
We then started deleting repeat threads. Our members complained about that too!!!!
Now, we have reached the point where we have vitually given up with people....guess what!!!!!!!!!

Andrey Arshavin's agent expects the Russian to stay at Arsenal for the rest of his career after denying talk he wants to join Barcelona.
The 28-year-old playmaker admitted earlier this week that he would relish the opportunity to play for the 2009 Europan champions.
He had previously been linked with a move to Camp Nou in the summer of 2008, before eventually joining the Gunners from Zenit St Petersburg the following January.
But Arshavin's representative Dennis Lachter has now assured supporters that it would take a 'dramatic' turn of events for him not to stay at Emirates Stadium until he hangs up his boots.
Lachter admits that Arshavin might have to consider his future if manager Arsene Wenger were to leave the club.
"Unless something extraordinarily dramatic happens, he will finish his career at Arsenal," Lachter said in the Daily Telegraph.
"Andrey staying depends on one man.
"We would like to know that Arsene Wenger will be at Arsenal next season."
i have to admit that I have never really seen much enthusiasm from AA for the club, either on or off the pitch. Undoubtedly he has some fantastic moments, but then it turns to distinctly average. I'm definitely in the side of the camp that feels he needs to do more. I want to see the players with half as much passion as the fans!

Don't forget how long it took Pires to settle. Arshavin has just finished his first full season here and has had a few niggly injuries this year. The press misquote him all the time but he's clearly a loyal player bearing in mind how long he stayed at Zenit.
I reckon he'll stay a good while yet and I think this season he'll have fully settled in london and at the club.
