As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Let me state at the outset that I don't ever watch 'The Simpsons'. Somehow or other I just didn't get into it at the start (perhaps because I didn't like Bart) However this evening I inadvertently caught an episode of it and did find it quite funny.
In particular I was amused by the way they turned an incompetent Homer Simpson's saving of the day - more through luck than anything else - into the legend 'Pulling a Homer', with the dictionary definition: 'succeeding despite one's idiocy'.
So it got me thinking: would Wenger getting Arsenal to third place qualify as 'Pulling a Homer'? Can you think of other examples?
