Generosity and Arsenal Players

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Generosity and Arsenal Players

Post by VforVictory »

At the charity ball tonight, Great Ormond Street Hospital needed 20 sleep monitoring devices that make sure people in comas etc have clear airways. Each machine was £29,800, and nearly all of them were paid for by the players, even those such as Mannone and Traore who are not on mega cash.

Yeah sure, the players are rich, but it still takes something to hand over that kind of money.

No matter how muc frustration there is with them on this Forum, they deserve respect for that.

I respect anyone who gives anything to charity.

We could spout on all day about how much more they could give, but its better then nothing.

BUT...Give more lads :barscarf:

i didn't know that. that's over 500,000 pounds, not a small ammount of money to give to charity.

well played, gooners! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

They gave more too, because some players won other auction lots, plus also bid large money for silent auction prizes, so it was double that maybe even more.

This sort of stuff needs to be publicised as well. I doubt it will make much room with the election news

I think it'd be more fun to have dinner with Orlando's partner Miranda Kerr...

well played lads.

At the end of the day, its their money and any pound they give to good causes should be applauded.
