mm99 agreed there are bigger issues, but that particular lib dem policy was particularly bonkers and stands out as a major reason their a joke party, shouldnt be voted for.

they have only got the level of support recently , cos ppl in this country are pretty thick and go on the back of who they like persoanlly based on these tv debates rather than looking at policies. its the x factor, britains got talent, big brother ppl, the sort of dumbfucks who vote on those shows

I'm with you Sammy,

Was a massive Labour man but unfortunately they do not stand for the common person anymore.

Voted Lib Dems in the hope of a hung parliment which would lead to massive electoral change. The 3 parties need to stop bitching like a bunch of 12 year old girls and get on with running this country properly!!!

All this talk of a Lib Dem"Amnesty" has not been reported properly. Just right wing media scaremongering because they don't like to upset the status quo of the normal 2 party politics in this country. I haven't heard one thing from Labour or Cons who act like it's a problem which will just go away.

If I wake up with David Cameron and George Osbourne leading this country, it will be a very sad day!!

Completely agree with you on your second point. People shouldn't be voting depending on 'who looks the nicest' like some game show. But your comment about that being the only reason why the LIb Dems have got support recently doesn't hold. In the last general election the lib dems had a greater amount of support and under a fairer voting system would have won a much, much greater amount of seats, and would go as far as saying that under a proportionaly system the lib dems would have got into power. So the lib dem support isn't based off of one tv interview with Clegg. There's real support behind them, but because of the system only the Conservatives and Labour will ever hold power.

think ur wrong on PR. dont rhink they would have been biggest last time..think they were pretty close but not more than either of the big 2, havent checked the facts i may be wrong but im fairly sure

liberal support whem it comes down to it tends not to stand up. surely thay would win more seats in current system if they did anyway its spread out and seen as a protest vote a lot of the time imo

not at all. economy is fucked thats my main issue, spending is out of control, labour will carry on, libs have no clear answer on what they will do only cons have said they will attempt to cut the national debt straight away, thats most important in my view. if we carry on the way we do we are truly fucked economy wise cos sterling will collapse, aaa will be removed and gilt markets will crash...only a con win will solve these problems.

economy will be ruined if sterling and bonds crash.

immigration is a lesser influence but used the example as the amnesty policy as i understand it was crazy

No mate, that's completely wrong! There is no chance in hell of them winning an general election under this system. But under a more proportional system they will definitely have a chance. The whole point that you say is that the lib dem votes are spread out, meaning that they will never win a seat under this system, even though they may have more votes than the other parties. The whole point of it being spread out means that their votes are often wasted in seats and count for shit, but in a more fairer system where every vote truly counts, then the lib dems would have enough to form a government.

When the Tories were in power in the 80's they single handedly decimated all industry in this country to focus on finance and economics with financial deregulation. Labour just rode on ahigh off the back of it but just didn't know when to reign it in.

If we had any sort of industry to export like China, we wouldn't be clinging onto the hope the banks who got us in this mess would have to dig us out of it.

The Conservative Party only look after their own (in my opinion), they stifle creativity, industry and just plain common sense.

mantis you didnt mention anything apart from immigration until asked to.

I know why you voted the way you did. No need to chat with you on this subject anymore.
