Ex-Gunners doing the business

Post by 26may1989 »

Goals for Stokes, Bentley (two) and of course Larsson - good weekend for ex-Gunners. Boa Morte did well against Chelsea but a shame Anelka couldn't put away a sitter against United.

When you consider that we have Eboue, who is a right back, playing on the wing it makes you wonder what kind of a job Bentley would have done for us in that position :?

Maybe he was not seen by Wenger as being capable of the fast tight inter play that Le Boss favours.

Didn't Bentley demand to leave due to lack of first team football?

I don't think it had anything to do with Wenger, Bentley needed first team football at a time when Freddie was in his way. Fair enough for him to move on and good luck to him.

He did indeed Magic, and we were left with Eboue on the wing

If the players demands to leave then best to let him go, besides is his attitude something we need at the club?

All your remarks are totally spot on Magic but we cannot fault a player wanting to play. I was just saying he is a good player and he could well have been a great asset to us but as you pointed out it was all just a question of timing.

However what sort of attitude does Eboue show when he is diving all over the place  Still right now we are top of the pile so I am happy enough
