I've got a good feeling about this lad. Now all we need is a quality keeper, another centre half and.....and......3RD PLACE IS OURS AGAIN!! :barscarf:

Sooo obvious. Why would Chamakh pose with a shirt he'll never wear?

I'm just waiting for the headline "Chamakh deal hits snag" Lets face it when does an Arsenal deal ever go through as straight forward as this one seems.

from sky sports -

"
WENGER- I HAVE PULLED OUT OF CHAMAHK DEAL"

On monday the 10th of may, arsene wenger confirmed he has decided not to sign highly rated bodeaux striker maroune chamahk. Wenger stated that the arsenal side has enough attacking options to cope for the new season without making a new signing.
"I realised that niklas bendtner is world class, and carlos vela has proven himself after scoring against a well organised fulham side. We also have Robin Van Persie, who is reliable and doesn't suffer from injuries very often, and Mikael Silvestre, who is a fantastic attacking force".

It is rumoured wenger has decided to splash the cash this year on a replacement for francesc fabregas. Rumours are that wenger will spend a colossal £2m on 14 year old, Wafang Prekiguvong, the 5th top scorer in the namibian 6th division.

"He has fantastic potential, and will be the ideal partner for niklas bendtner", Wenger stated.

On a serious note....I wonder whether this new thing of Wenger actually announcing the signing before its a done deal along with Arsenal.com having their own transfer rumour section is to try to shut up the increasing number of dissenting voices....

Me neither - his scoring record doesnt suggest prolific and it is my opinion that we need players of the quality good enough to be first 11 instead of more squad players but I will obviously reserve judgement until we see how he fares when he joins. Am also curious to know what effect if any he might have on our formation for next season cos I hope to god that the fcuking 4-3-3/4-5-1 bullshit is dispensed with asap  Cant help wondering if the fact that he is free is having a large bearing on wenger signing him

My fear is he will lose his ability to head the ball(his main asset) by the time our pre-season is over.

With Sagna, Theo and Clichy supplying the crosses, he will forget that heading the ball is part of the game.
