Apparantly he's had a falling out with his manager at Bayern, might be a useful January buy to ease the ACN problems in defence, he's 30 so there'd be no worries about stopping the youngsters such as hoyte coming through, he's experienced which we like, he'll put Senderos one further back down the pecking line and he's french so AW will be able to get him! :P

I thought he was a right back. Is he playing centrally now??

I think I'd prefer a more established centre back.

i thought he is a left back and that is why clichy doesn't play for France .

He plays left back for France, but he has appeared in all the back four positions for Bayern, I believe. He's a good left back, but not a specialist CB.
I don't think we need him!

RAM IS CORRECT. SAGNOL IS A RIGHT BACK AND WE HARDLY NEED MORE OF THOSE!! WILLY SAGNOL WAS IN THE FRANCE NATIONAL TEAM FOR MANY YEARS UNTIL BEING DEPOSED BY DIARRA (AND NOW OCCASIONALLY BY SAGNA).

I PREFER WENGER PURCHASED A PROPER CENTRE-HALF RATHER THAN ANOTHER DEFENDER WHO CAN 'FILL-IN'.

JUST IN CASE SANTA IS READING THIS - CAN WE ALSO HAVE A QUALITY GOAL-KEEPER AND A LEFT WINGER PLEASE? 8) :lol: :wink:

This Club isn't Paris Hilton. We've already got one Willy at the back, there isn't enough room for another one!

You are indeed correct he is a right back, my thinking however was that if Sagna gets injured he can go there and that leaves Hoyte in the middle rather than big phil (assuming Djourou gets the nod)

By the wayI thought he looked shocking in the first half against the tots, got a lot better as the game went on though

I have to agree with I hate Hleb and RAM on this we do need a a centre back to replace that twat Senderos.
