You and me could be twins Sid. I f**king hate these latest "must have" gizmos and all the marketing bollocks that go with them. It's the Emperor's New Clothes!
I've got an old Nokia that can make / receive calls, send texts and take a picture of my son for my screen saver. What more do you need?
Who needs f**king Android this, robot that, application blah blah blah?
Lol... I'm sure that when the internet became popular a lot of stone-agers were saying "I have a post box, and I have a newspaper. What more could I need?"
It's not about "must have".. I own an iPhone and I've not regretted it for one second. It does just about anything you could expect a phone to do. I can easily check all my different email accounts, the football scores, listen to some music, use it as a remote, play the odd game of "Worms" or "Football Manager", keep up with Arsenal Blogs, find maps or my current location (great for train journeys), purchase stuff from Amazon, message people for free, save ridiculous amounts of money with e-vouchers, book train journeys/check times, update my own blog, listen to the radio, check a very detailed weather report, change my fantasy football team, buy & sell etc. on eBay, browse & chat etc. on facebook, check the stock market, watch youtube vids, take photos, watch live tv including all the sports channels, and thats some of the apps I have, let alone the ones available. No need for endless waiting around searching websites and stuff like most of these 3G phones. As I say, its nothing to do with "must have" or "do I need". Its a very VERY handy gadget, and I couldnt tell you how many people ask me to look stuff up on the net, check football scores etc. etc.
