FANS of Manchester United were last night trying to work out which star burned his TACKLE with hair removal cream - and were pointing the finger at CRISTIANO RONALDO.
The guessing game began when the painful incident was revealed in the club's official magazine.
The article did not identify the player, but last night a source said: "I would put money on it being Ronaldo - his beauty regime was unrivalled."
The mystery player lost a layer of skin just 24 hours before a big match.
Ex-United star BRIAN McCLAIR, now the club's academy director, wrote in his mag column: "This made changing the next day a bit awkward."
The source told The Sun: "It is definitely NOT a current first team player."
Ronaldo, 25, went to Real Madrid for £80million in 2009.
Ex-love NEREIDA GALLARDO later confessed: "Cristiano and I took the same time to get ready. I always wax - but he waxed everything."
Ronaldo's agent had yet to comment last night. Perhaps it's still a sore point.
