There's a third reason player ask to leave clubs Brazilian.......ambition. Something our club are sadly quite unwilling to show.

bergkamp could've joined bigger teams if he wanted. he could have been in a champions league winning team if he requested a transfer.

Why would he? He was in the form of his life, enjoying where he played and enjoyed the top class players he was playing with. Im sure if you asked Bergkamp his true love would be Ajax as much as Arsenal if not more but the other factors where at Arsenal for him and are not for Cesc

Also people forget when Dennis arrived at Arsenal it was off the back of what can only be described as being a failure at Inter, so he had got ambitious and been burnt before, i'm sure his loyalty to Arsenal had at least a little bit to do with that.

because their hearts belong elsewhere or because of money.

You almost make it sound like Dennis never played for 2 clubs before ours. Also, how can you justify comparing

Cesc 22yrs spent 7years at our club, has only won the FA cup since he became a full member of the first team in 2005 compared to his mates of the same potential in Messi, Rooney who have won loads.

to Dennis who came to Arsenal after failing at Inter and started winning trophies 2yrs from his arrival not to mention the quality of his teammate for the duration of his stay. What player wouldn't be content with that?

Your comparison is baffling.

Why not compare both teams they played for and tell me which one is more successful and which one has more legends. The deflection/sugarcoating is unbelievable and almost shameful.

Not being funny BG but the point of this is........

it makes me upset watch one of my idols kiss our badge today, say "I'm happy where i am" and in the following FUCKING WEEK come to the boss with a transfer request. don't accept a 4 year contract, then!

i don't blame cesc, i'm not angry with him, if he loves barça then let him be happy at barça. but don't consider him an ARSENAl legend, then.

i'm just saying that one of the best footballers in the history is a true gooner, and i'm proud of that. a man who wasn't born a gooner, but became a true gooner.

Agreed. That & the fact that his non-flying Dutchman act possibly put off a fair few likely suitors from pursuing him in the first place? Not trying to shit on God’s legacy in any way or question his loyalty, just to say that players staying or going is rarely a straightforward case of them being loyal or disloyal. There's different circumstances in each case & how anyone considers Fabregas disloyal in his is beyond me.
