i'm desolated

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

i'm desolated

Post by brazilianGOONER »

created this here in the basement to avoid more cesc threads in the arsenal section, but i wanted to talk about how much this makes us sad.

i spent the 40 min drive from work to home thinking about wenger's project, about our lack of quality in midfield without cesc, and about the fact the maybe i was wrong the whole time about wenger's project.

i know this may be an overreaction, maybe we'll be a better team depending less on the captain, but still, i couldn't eat tonight and my usual good humour went to the toilet.

it's understandable that he wants to leave, but still, it hurts too much.

incredible how much we supporters care about this club.

now excuse me, as i have some serious drinking to do.

(and excuse me for this post as i have already done some serious drinking since i got home)

funny how we can get so worked up about 11 men running around a field in shorts being paid insane amounts of money to kick a ball into the back of a net and then when they move to go play on another field we feel so betrayed and sad...lol. :(

BG, we all feel the same way, unfortunately some of us don't drink and can only stare sadly into our cup of coffee :-P

I know what you mean too BG....I too have been fairly happy with the "project", but knew the whole team is based on Cesc staying at least one more year till Ramsey / Whilshere gets up to speed.

Saying that, I can fully understand why Cesc wants to leave.....I feel very let-down by AW and the board for making him carry this team for the last few seasons and can only imagine what he feels like. AW probably don't have any signings he feels will improve the situation, so he doesn't see us moving forward far enough for his liking.

But it's still depressing because I am one of Cesc's biggest fans. You know if he's in the team, he's gonna give 100%. FFS - time to go drink this depression away........

Funny thing is all I got in my head is that pic from the Sun where the Titanic (Arsenal) is sinking and Cesc paddling furiously away from it.....

Thirded

The ONLY ray of hope I can think of is that when the legend that is Thierry Henry left for the barcbastardcrunts is that the team became 'more of a team' - Yes, I know the circumstances and players are Totally different, but maybe this can allow those in Cesc's awesomely gifted and well deserved shadow to come out of their shells !!? ..................Who The F knows!!!???

But Cesc leaving has come sooner than I thought it would...and his best days are still in front of him... :(
