––––––––––––ARSENAL TRANSFER NEWS –––––––––––––

Ins:

Sebastien Frey – £8M – He has hinted that he is leaving Fiorentina and Arsenal are leading the race to sign him. Manchester United have ruled out a move for a GK, so it is between Arsenal and Juventus. Frey won't move to Juventus unless Buffon leaves, and he won't be going to Arsenal or United, so he may end up at City.

Per Mertesacker – £14M – He looks the most likely and the biggest bargain around. Chiellini would be better, but he is left footed and a right – left foot partnership worked well with Vermaelen and Gallas. If Chiellini were to sign though it would be for £16M.

Yoann Gourcuff – £18M/David Silva – £17M – They are likely to come, and with Fabregas leaving soon, maybe next summer, he would be keen to get either of these players before they get snapped up. This would mean we would sign either and then they would play with Fabregas next season, and after that Fabregas will get sold if Barcelona have the money. Ramsey would then replace Fabregas, and Wilshere will go out to the Wing.

Net Spend – £22M – £25M

Outs this summer:

Silvestre – Free
Senderos – Free
Gallas – Free
Traore – £4M
Almunia – £3M
Rosicky – £6M
Szcenscy – Loan
Wilshere – Loan
Vela – Loan

Gourcuff and Silva will go for much more than that in this current market.

Cash is King. Pay the right price and get your man. For 30 million Barca can have "Fab" and I was thinking Fabianski. :D

For some reason I don't mind us signing Gary Cahill, always thought he had potential and for him to leave Villa for a lesser club to get the game time he needs shows determination.

Just hope the illness he had don't affect him in the long run, would hate to see a player collapse on the pitch and pass away subsequently.

There actually could be something in this Cahill talk, im not sure if im keen on him coming to us or not?

This article gives mixed messages, starts by saying Coyle wouldnt stand in his way if he wants to go (great) and then says if someone wants to pay £30m (haha well you can piss off then mate)
