Couldn't agree more with you article Joe. Sums up my feelings precisely as we move into the World Cup period.

I'd quite like England to win, but for that odious scumbag leftback to be considered alongside the england legends of '66 is unconscionable.

And as you say, I've no emotional investment in them as a team, apart from Theo who I think isn't good enough.

And I'm still not over the xenophobic holier-than-thou crap that some of them, Rooney in particular, came out with after the Eduardo penalty against Celtic. "English players don't dive". Bollox

Great article - my feelings exactly. How are we supposed to "feel love" for these horrible Chavs, Mancs, Mousers and too many Spuds. Cant bring myself to do it.

Now the manager - Capello - he would sort out our underperforming overpaid prima donnas. How long is his contract with the FA?

I take a interest in England when the media stop picking the team!I haven't been really worried about our national side for years especially with calibre of players picked..Gerrard-the mouthy scouser who needs a group of mates to attack 1 bloke and so on and so on but like the author i cannot and will not support the scum of our rivals.

England to win the W/C  Mexico made us look 2nd rate so what about against Italy,Brazil and Germany...no we got no chance.

Watched the game on Monday . Biggest dissappointment was that Vela didn't put away the two great chances he had . I'd rather an Arsenal player scored against England than England win with no Arsenal players in the side and Theo doesn't really count because he's simply not good enough to be in the team in the first place . Sorry if that sounds unpatriotic but Gunners come first for me . Every time .

good post bunch. got to say AFC first every time.BUT cant go with all this alf and the lads bullshit. yeah great achievement, three lions etc etc but come on lets be frank, they profited from home advantage you cant be considered legends untill you have either won it away or better still on another continent.dont get me wrong its still the best England team to date but i think sometimes 66 is holding us back .we wernt rated before 66 but since were told we can win it every time.can we start a rumour about walcot going to real.

Only just seen your comments but thanks, appreciate the feedback.

In hindsight, we never had to worry about Terry and Co being remembered as World cup winners. Rubbish.

Now let's hope he and his Chavsea pals dont water down the memory of him slipping in Moscow by winning the Champions League.

Cheers.

Joe
