Just hope the illness he had don't affect him in the long run, would hate to see a player collapse on the pitch and pass away subsequently.
Holy fuck! I thought I was a bit on the pessimistic side.

 But seriously a blood clot at 24, not a doc but that doesn't sound good.

Arsenal on the trail of teenage Valencia star
Arsenal are keeping tabs on Valencia teenager Francisco Alcacer.

Striker Alcacer, 15, has caught the eye for Spain under-17s in a tournament in Liechtenstein with four goals in two games.

A fifteen year old who scored against liechtenstein?

wow...just wow :banghead:
Yep, the top scorer in Europe for the U17's, certainly can't be any good! Oh and the captain of a rubbish country called Spain. Thank the world we have some awesome talent scouts here in this forum  I have watched him a few times, decent outside the box but looks a natural poacher. Whether he would make it is another matter, a lot can go wrong

No harm in getting him if Valencia don't ask for silly money. Buying him is hardly going to destroy our season, we should still add young players if we find them despite what some seem to think

God I hate the summer! :banghead: :banghead:

Click on news now for some light-hearted reading and possible speculation.
And everyone's going! :banghead:

Merida's already gone
Cesc maybe going
Vela's shop windowing himself
and now it appear Campbell could join Celtic!

The only incoming news worth noting is Per Mertesacker.

I agree we need them. Still why complain when Arsenal refuse to be negligent about their youth system? We can sign young talent for the future and add to the first team you know?

Exactly, I doubt Wenger sees this as one of the players he needs this season.

If Sol goes to Celtic, whoever is in charge of our contract negotiations should finally be shot

Mark Schwarzer anyone?

I would be delighted to see him play for us. He's a brilliant 'keeper. Easily one of the best in the Premier League.

we have enough talented youngsters to develop now, why sign another?

simpson, lansbury and emanuel thomas or whatever have all spent successful loan spells out this year? recall?
I want to see us develop our own players instead of signing little kiddies that might be good..

We have a grand total of 3 players deemed good enough for the U17 world cup, one of them as a sub and the other shoved out wide despite being a striker. We add a 4th and the most lethal striker in that tournament, doesn't seem too much.

I note you quote older players at me, and what happens if they don't make it (Simpson won't, Lansbury probably lower Prem, Thomas maybe) and we have nobody coming through because we didn't bother trying to improve what we had.

Yeah, no top club in England actually does that last part for a reason.

IMO we have the best youth academy in england, and I believe simpson has the talent to make it in the EPL with us. I really think arsene should concentrate on our senior squad..

eh we are approaching it but we are better at improving players we sign, like Cesc.

There seems to be this strange belief that one can't concentrate on the senior side and have the youth side sign players. Don't know where it comes from to be honest
