Joe Cole is a greedy chav *word censored*!!!!!

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

It also means Walcott falls down the pecking order
From a fellow Arsenal fan in my work, I don't doubt his source either, he used to be on the Arsenal books in the early 80's. (says it's going to be announced this Sunday)

Not a wind up, I think you know me long enough not to do a Frank Butcher, all I'm doing is quoting what I've heard yesterday from my mate, he's convinced it's true.

Not sure about that mate, if Cesc and Rosicky were to go then we would be losing some creativity in the middle of the park which Cole could add, plus I as much as he may be shortish, I don't think he's that lightweight, he played centre midfield for West Ham when he was younger.

I would say he's picked up a few injuries over the past couple of seasons and that would be a concern as that is the last thing we need, but IF that could be avoided (and with our track record...) I'd certainly take him as I think he's one of the few english players with actual talent.
He is probably better than a lot of what we currently have, the more disturbing thing is, he is another "hand-me down" from a club that he can't make their staring 11, and a further indication of the direction in which we are headed.
Once again not one comment without a dig...and that's not personal mate, it just seems to be near enough every comment on this forum has some kind of reference to the demise of The Arsenal.

Anyway, back on topic, yes he can't get into Chelsea's starting 11, but that maybe because Ancelotti doesn't rate him as they do have a big sqaud and he may not feel he fits in with their sysyem. I can honestly say over the past 3-4 years when I have watched England apart from Rooney he is the only English player who can change a game (yes I know that means fuck all to you as an Irishman  )

from a couple of weeks ago:

[quote]
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has labeled Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole as an ‘interesting target’.

The England international has been linked with a summer exit from Stamford Bridge for the past few months and it the Gunners now a chance of losing skipper Cesc Fabregas, Wenger is showing slight interest in Cole.

“Joe Cole is an interesting target, but do I have enough players in those positions? We shall see,â€

Frank Butcher reckons it's more likely we're signing Joe Swash.

I'm not convinced this is true, but Joe Cole's contract presumably expires on that date? I don't think you can announce a transfer to another club in the same league until your contract actually expires.

Yeah, and apparently Cole is asking for £5m a year (which was enough to put the **** off).... if we paid Campbell that 7 years ago, I can't see it being a problem now.

Well he's an islington boy, and Chelsea seem to want to keep hold of him but he's determined to get a starting place. I'ld welcome it, bit of experience and quality. Hope its true.
