Official World Cup Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

New Zealand beat Serbia in a warm up match overnight!

1-0 to New Zealand.

Might be worth a bet for them to grab an upset win in their group. Against Paraguay or Slovakia there's a chance!

Out of interest, how many dual nationals are out there, on here, as it were? :? As a bit of a mongrel myself, i allways get a bit conflicted by big sporting events like this, was wandering how others felt about the situation?

Of pure Irish blood but born and raised in Australia.

Not much of a conflict at this World Cup though.

Aussie, Irish & English for me, the crickets an easy choice, but the footy & rugby, not so much

Tunisia 1-1 France
Gallas scored a header on a freekick. Diaby came on, and he was the best player on the pitch again (no I'm not drunk  ).

Ok Mr Diaby, we recognise that your son is without doubt the best midfielder of his generation.

Born in Oireland, spent all childhood (6months to 15years) in Australia, back living in Oireland since. Hold both Aussie and Oirish passports. Both Governments keep asking me to relinquish one of the citizenships but I refuse (as I'm entitled under international law).

Follow Aussies in the cricket and Oireland (a bit) in the football. But none of it matters a shite compared to the Arsenal. 8)
