To my memory Mart Poom played one game for us against Everton in the League Cup and kept a clean sheet. I for one would perfer him to any of the two current clowns keeping goal for us.Deise Gooner wrote:In my time Pascal Cygan has to take the honour and is closely follwed by Mart Poom. THE WORST PLAYER TO WEAR AN ARSENAL SHIRT!

He kept a clean sheet in his only PL game for us as well, away to Portsmouth. This Is The Daybreak wrote:To my memory Mart Poom played one game for us against Everton in the League Cup and kept a clean sheet. not having that mate. Powling suffered badly from injuries and had to retire early. Many at the club of the time rated him better than Brady. Mancini was bought in for one reason only, to keep us up, and he did.littlefire wrote:That hurts me to this day...charliegeorgewhocanhitem wrote:Ian Ure, still not forgiven him for the 1969 league cup final defeat to Swindon Town, c**tRosie_titters wrote:Chris Whyte was shite![]()
There was a shower of them in the mid 70s tho that eclipsed even that lunk; Powling, Devine, Terry fcukin Mancini et al
For me I'd go with Pat Howard, john Kay, John Hawley, Ray Hankin, Mark Healey, Jimmy Carter, anda load of shit bought by Wenger

Already nominated by Mr G, but I didn't think he was that bad, he probably should have got into the team a bit quicker than he did, because Pat Rice, towards to end of his Arsenal career (I would say the last 3 season) was terrible.DB10GOONER wrote:Too many, unfortunately...
Eboue, Denilson, Ure, McGolderick, Jeffers, Devine, Almunia, Sylvestre, Stepanovs, Carter, Hillier, Pennant, Flatts... the list is endless!!![]()

It will always be McGoldrick for me - at least I hope it will be
Have to give an "honourable" mention to Stefan Malz - made a latter-day Silvestre look quick.
Baptista escapes thanks to his goals at Anfield.
I can't have Kiwomya and Helder in this - Helder's assists and Kiwomya's 3 goals were key in us noy being relegated in 1995.

Edit... Hmmm... again Wilf Rostron wasn't a bad player, couldn't get into our team, and went on for a half decent career with Watford and Sunderland (I think)
Mark Heeley was a type of Wenger type of player, very slight, purchased from Peterborough, showed promise until he was kicked totally off the park by a european team (can't remember who) in the UEFA cup.
