I WROTE A THREAD AFTER THE SPARTA AWAY GAME TITLED 'HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ARSENAL PLAY THAT SHIT?'. WELL, TODAY I DID.
WE WERE AWFUL ALL GAME BUT ESPECIALLY THE FIRST HALF. IT SEEMED AS IF WE WERE PLAYING WITH 8 RATHER THAN 11, BECAUSE EBOUE, EDUARDO AND GILBERTO WERE ABS0LUTELY SHOCKING!!
WHEN WE ADD TO THAT POOR GAMES BY USUALLY RELIABLE GUYS LIKE TOURE, CLICHY AND SAGNA, AND STINKERS BY ADEBAYOR - WHO I HAVE BEEN A BIG DEFENDER OF, BUT NOT ON TODAY'S PERFORMANCE - AND THOMAS (EXCEPT FOR THE GOAL), YOU HAVE A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.
THE PENALTY WAS BOTH AVOIDABLE AND SAVEABLE AND I THINK THE MANAGER MADE A MISTAKE IN NOT FRESHENING UP THE STARTING LINE AFTER LAST WEEK'S EXERTIONS. MOST OF THE PLAYERS LOOKED DEAD ON THEIR FEET.
I WOULD IMAGINE WENGER WILL REST THE MAJORITY OF THAT TEAM FOR THE STEAU GAME. WE SHOULD ALL SAY OUR PRAYERS THAT WE GET AT LEAST ONE OF CESC, HLEB OR RVP BACK FOR THE CHELSEA MATCH OR ELSE THINGS WILL START LOOKING WORRYING.

People, I know we played badly (probably the worst this season), but we are top of the league and Boro gave it all today and than some. You can't win any game and you can't expect the players to play at their best any game. We should just forget about this performance and move on, you don't want the players to lose confidence over this match.
We (meaning the dans and players) should'nt be ashamed because this is our first lose in the league this season and because we are top, this was an off day, so take it as a wake up call.

This reminded me of us first half of season two years ago, we whined, we looked shaky at the back, we got outfought in the midfield and our attack didn't get anything to feed from. Dreadful performance, players can perform better and must do so against Chelsea or we will lose by 5.
Full credit to Boro, getting players back, they defended well when they had to and looked a real threat going forward. Now like Newcastle, they have to do it in the lesser matches

20/20 you cannot defend the team on the basis that they are 25 pts ahead of spurts - they are so shit it borders on a disgrace that we are only 25pts ahead of them anyway
When the team plays as shit as they did today then they should expect the flak they get here and then some. Not alone should they give up 1 days worth of wages to the autism charity but they should also give up at least 1 days wages to cover the travelling expenses of their loyal fans who travelled up there on an early sunday morning to cheer on a team that didnt seem to give a shit.
I must have been watching a different game to some of you(not for the 1st time tho) as I thought rosicky was our only bright light today. He was the ONLY player looking to get on the ball and be positive in possession whereas some of his team-mates were doing a ray wilkins/crab style of football(going sidewards all the fcuking time) and toure who just hoofed the fcuking thing forward to that lazy, arrogant and over-rated *word censored* up front
As I said earlier my reading of a piece on arsenal.com is that neither cesc or hleb will be returning to full training this weekend so would presumebly be out for the russian game
I stand to be corrected on this though

just got back from middlesbrough, wish i didn't bother!!! the game was full of promise but i'm afraid they players turned up in body but not in mind. we cannot afford to carry players like gilberto anymore, if his heart isn't in it then let him go. i'll give diarra the bennefit of the doubt, as i think it was just a bad day at the office. but the worst till last eduardo.......he'll be very lucky to wear the arsenal shirt again, he was the worst arsenal player i have seen in many years.
i sat about 5 seats away from the bad black man who has dreadlocks, the guy if fucking crackers, but looks like a person you ort to go for a pint with.
2/10 today for the whole experience, i'm just glad i didn't have 4 1/2 hour journey home.

you'd be no good at supporting an average lower league side like...........................................spuds then!!!!Cesc is God wrote:I think the players should give their wages to the people who travelled to the game. The players shouldn't get paid for a performance like that and the fans shouldn't go back empty handed!
