WHOSE YOUR MONEY ON TO WIN THE WORLD CUP?

Post by merson_is_god »

I'm pondering over 20 quid on Brazil or England for patriotic stupidity!

And before anyone says it....Honduras!!

Thats got that one out of the way!!

Brazil have no chance.; neither do Italy.

It's between Spain and England, although Spain are by FAR the best team in the competition.

Argentina might spring a surprise (even if Maradona is a nutter for not picking Zanetti & Cambiasso!!) but they look a bit top heavy to me - as do Holland.

France should be in with a chance, but with Domenech is charge, who knows! :?

Portugal could be a dark horse

Oh, and NEVER write of the Germans....

Iv got a sneaking feeling for Italy despite what g88ner says above.

IMO Portugal, Argentina and France dont stand a chance dont waste your cash.

Brazil and Spain are the best teams so have the best chance to win with Italy and England having an outside chance

and never write off the Germans

The Netherlands :barscarf:

The only problem they have is the shite defence, Mathijsen, Braafheid are useless - The latter stuggling in the SPL of all leagues..

But if the gaffer can get that right, then I dont see why they cannot win the World Cup this year!

Holland would be my personal preferred winner.

Spain are a chance of course.

Brazil are always a threat, psychologically if nothing else.

Argentina.

England. Although realistically I doubt it.

Would put France, Italy and Germany together as dark horses.

Don't think Portugal can do it.

Would like to see an African nation go far, surely Eboue has what it takes to drag the Ivory Coast to glory? (If nothing else I think they can get out of their group.)

i fancy either Argies or Brazil.....

Brazil have a great defence, this time with Julio Cesar, Maicon, Lucio, Juan and Maxwell

and with Kaka, Gilberto, Melo and Diego in the midfield

Luis Fabiano and Robinho up front :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I can't see Brazil winning it.

What's the likely team, BG???

Julio Cesar, Maicon, Alex or Juan (??), Lucio, Bastos :? , Alves (?), Elano ( :? ??), Gilberto  , Melo :-P , Kaka, Fabiano and Robinho??

I say this EVERY World Cup but..... it's England's year

Assuming Spain don't shit on everyone, that is!

PS - It's amazing to think that Ronaldinho, Diego and Denilson aren't even in the squad! :?

it will be this:

1. julio cesar

2. maicon
3. lucio
4. juan
6. michel bastos

5. felipe melo
8. gilberto silva
7. elano
10. kaka

9. luis fabiano
11. robinho

i say that based on what we've seen so far on friendlies and championships and on the squad numbers as well.

spain. easily the most balanced, top-drawer side. saying that, they will probably fuck up just because i'm backing them.

ingerlund have bugger all hope, it's hilarious watching the media constantly saying it's our year over and over and over again.

the dutch will probably be the best to watch.
