CESC IS NOT FOR SALE IN PRAVDA.COM!
We're ALWAYS behind the club NO MATTER and I'm tired of supporters who will slag the players the manager and other supporters but have blind faith and trust in the Board and its actions even when they are undeniably inconsistent with their words.
It gets tiring having your support questioned for having the nerve to doubt people when they are shown to have been less than entirely honest about a lot of things because some supporters would rather let them rob the club blind than actually ask them if that's what they're doing.
You want us behind the club like you are - then let the Board get behind it like you are and make some money available so Cesc and others can be confident they are at a a club whose desire to win silverware matches their own, and maybe supporters like you should insist they do as much as well.
We didn't support therm building anything simply to make themselves wealthier which is all that has happened so far. And we deserve better from them tham deliberately misleading us about what they are doing and why. Even now would you bet your family's savings the Board won't sell Cesc this summer?
Let the Board show real intent and I'll be the first to congratulate them for doing so. But even if they don't I'm still 100% behind Arsenal Football Club and resent anyone suggesting that myself or others who question the club's ambition even now are anything else, thank you.

We have built a new stadium, cleared hundreds of miilions of pounds off our debt in the past few seasons and have a sustainable club that is the envy of European football......football is a about fine margins and at the end of the day we could have won possibly won 4 trophys since 05 .The board must be doing something right.USMartin wrote:We're ALWAYS behind the club NO MATTER and I'm tired of supporters who will slag the players the manager and other supporters but have blind faith and trust in the Board and its actions even when they are undeniably inconsistent with their words.

I for one am proud of the way the club is run and we have a manager who has turned us into one of the biggest clubs in Europe in the space of over 13 years.
The thing that tires me is having to listen to people moan about how bad things are at our Football Club.

But that is and always has been the Tactics that the Spanish & Italian clubs use....to put enough rumours out till in the end a majority of the (dumb) public will think it's a done deal......Bendtners Drinking Buddy wrote:Im with you BG - Arsenal remained classy and unlike Barca didnt mouth off to the press every 5 seconds...as soon as an official bid came in, it was made public and we told them to fuck off.
We are a class football club inlike those mouthy fuckers - and we have balls despite what some on here believe.
Im proud of the way the club has reacted to this, remained honourable and classy throughout.
Fuck off Barca
SO FUCK OFF Barca you bunch of cock suckers!!!

mind you what IS annoying is that Fabregas started all this by making a statement about needing to sort his future out before the world cup begins....when he needn't have said anything, unless it was his way of saying to AW - Oi! get yer feckin' chque book out or I'm offski!...which if the case is fair enough, maybe it'll do some good!?
even so Oi! Barca!!!

we could have won possibly won 4 trophys since 05 .The board must be doing something right.
fuck me i've read it all now - what four trophies were they then?
we have a manager who has turned us into one of the biggest clubs in Europe in the space of over 13 years.
true enough, Arsenal FC only came into existence once Wenger took over and we've pratically swept all before us abroad ever since

4 trophys being-1.Champions League 06 you know the one where we were 13 mins away from winning?
2.Carling Cup final 07-Final means your within one game of winning IT.
3.League title 08
4.League title 2010.
Sorry i must have missed the bit where i said Arsenal didnt exist pre Wenger.
We are a bigger club than before Wenger took over both on the pitch and off it ----FACT!

The problem is you're ignoring one basic fact - that our Board chose to put our club deeper into debt that they were comfortable with it being in pursuit of an unnecessary project which so far has nade the Board's biggest shareholders richer with minimal benefit if any so far to Arsenal Football Club.D Gaffer wrote:We have built a new stadium, cleared hundreds of miilions of pounds off our debt in the past few seasons and have a sustainable club that is the envy of European football......football is a about fine margins and at the end of the day we could have won possibly won 4 trophys since 05 .The board must be doing something right.USMartin wrote:We're ALWAYS behind the club NO MATTER and I'm tired of supporters who will slag the players the manager and other supporters but have blind faith and trust in the Board and its actions even when they are undeniably inconsistent with their words.

Why should we we be proud of our Board mis-leading us about projects that were not in the interest of the football club? Why should we be proud that they have mis-led and pursued making more silver at every point of this so far rather than winning more silverware? Why should we be proud that they decided what we had achieved from 1998-2005 wasn't important enough to continue pursuing because it wasn't more profitbale for major shareholders? Why should we be proud to go back to winning the League every 17 or 18 years when we were winning it every two or threeand without breaking the bank or risking the club? Why should we be proud to have to pretend that that hasn't happened?
I'm sorry but I think you are confusing what the Board has done over the last several decades with what they are doing now like many Gooners, and are avoiding discussing the real issues like above where just like the Board you act as though the Highbury re-development was just some formality that cost pennies, when that single project undid the investment in the football team far more than the new stadium on its own ever would have.
I won't even ask you why the Board never ever acknowledged the financial re-development of that separate project the whole time since even you can't acknowledge it now yourself which pretty much answers my question. The Board chose to put the club deeper in debt to borrow to re-develop Highbury which was solely in the interest of Arsenal Holdings and the major shareholders and has yet to add one extra penny of investm, ent to the football team. You know them - they're THE ARSENAL we support, after all. Like Mr Hill-Wood said our Board don't pay for anything we do out of their own pockets but apparently they have no problem reaching into the football team's to pay for it.

Arsenal Football Club have today released the following statement about captain Cesc Fabregas:
"Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is under contract with the Club until the summer of 2015. He is a highly valued member of the team and part of our future plans.
"We have followed recent speculation linking Cesc with a move away from the Club but as there has never been any official approach for him, only two informal exchanges, in which we made it abundantly clear that we have no interest in transferring Cesc, we have refrained from publicly passing comment. However, yesterday evening we received an offer from Barcelona for Cesc and in response, we immediately and resolutely told them once again that we have no intention of selling our captain.
"To be clear, we will not make any kind of counterproposal or enter into any discussion. Barcelona have publicly stated that they will respect our position and we expect that they will keep their word."

I'd say we all deserve to know the truth - all of it, not just what they want to tell us when they want to tell it

And how do you know they haven't already agreed a deal will happen later this summer or at the start of next summer and this was just an exericse to gee up the true believers like yourself and keep you from listening to the doubters?brazilianGOONER wrote:all we know is what the press tells us. what happened in that room when he discussed his future with wenger? we don't know. we can't know.

The answer is you don't know anymore that is wan't than I do that it was. But with one difference - I can point to things the Board has actually done since 2005 that justify my doubts whereas I can't think of anything they have actually done other than some unsubstantiated statements that justify your faith in them.
Why not pressure them to prove their words and actions are consistent - to put their money where their mouth is? Why does everyone who defends the Board believe that that is pointless? If they won't tell us more isn't their refusal to do so already telling us what we ought to know then? Why should they get the benefit of the doubt but no players managers or supporters who don't fall in properly ever get that?
There have been a couple of things I have noticed about the report today that got me thinking. Apologies if this is a repeat but it gets hard work looking at all the Cesc threads.
1. "To be clear, we will not make any kind of counterproposal or enter into any discussion. Barcelona have publicly stated that they will respect our position and we expect that they will keep their word."
If this isn't true does it break Stock Exchange rules?
2. Barcelona director general Joan Oliver revealed on the club's official website: "Everybody knows that Cesc wants to sign for Barca and that we also want him to come here, but there is also a third party involved - Arsenal. Any agreement has to be with them.
"We've now made a formal written offer, which we presented to Arsenal yesterday [Tuesday] afternoon."
This is a snippet of the report from the following report and it has riled me somewhat:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 717785.stm
Now what has annoyed me, is WE ARE NOT THE FUCKING 3RD PARTY YOU FUCKING WANKERS. WE ARE THE 1ST PARTY, NOW FUCK OFF AND TAP UP SOMEONE ELSE'S PLAYERS YOU SPANISH-WANNABE FUCKED-UP WANKER
Sorry been wanting to get that off my chest since lunchtime
