The way I see it, Cesc is still ours. Wenger will keep him or get the best price for him and replace him, and we'll carry on..........But, to carry on tradition, we are in the shit without a new 'keeper

As I said earlier I wouldnt get overly excited about either the bid or the rejection statement from the club so on this occasion I am not one of those slating the club or cesc. What I would say is that some people on here are being very selective in what they want to believe about what cesc has said or wants and choosing to believe with absolute certainty that the board will not sell cesc - when questioned, on seperate occasions, both cesc and phw refused to say that cesc will be with our club next season so can you really believe with absolute conviction that no matter what bid we receive cesc will not be sold ? I would suggest that the strength of our resolution will rely on how a refusal to sell would affect cesc's demeanour next season and please dont give me any flannel about how professional and committed cesc is cos if he really really wants to return home to his family and play alongside the players he grew up with in the barca academy then he would be understandbly pissed off if we refused to sell him esp if their bid was around the 50-55m mark.

So Arsenal have come out with "he is part of our plans" ect ect but what do you expect Arsenal to come out and say. Arsenal are in a strong bargening position in this deal 4 years left on his contract and a Barcalona president about to leave who wants to leave on a high. Expect another bid from Barcalona in the next few days probably 10 or 15 million pounds higher than their orgianal offer. Then we will see if Fabregas is "part of our plans" ect ect
