Would love the States to win. We wont.
Would love Holland to win. They wont.
Argentina would win if Zanetti and Cambiasso were starters. They're not. They wont.
Spain is the best front to back. They'll win.

USA beat Australia 3-1 overnight.

Watching the game, it was obvious that the players have adapted to the ball/altitude problems after a week or so of training over there. Crosses were finding targets again and not many long balls drifted to the keepers.

Donovan and Dempsey are probably the danger players in the US team on paper, but it was the two strikers, Buddle and Findlay, that caused more trouble for the Aussie defence. Hopefully they can be just as threatening against England!

Am amazed that when talking about the argie forward line nobody has mentioned higuian  Tbh, and I am not a betting man at all, I will be putting a few quid on fabiano or higuain to be top scorer.

Personally I think that brazil will win it - this will be the first tournament that spain will go into as favourites and that is not an easy burden to carry. Holland will be holland (great team but will fall apart when it matters), france are average with an absolute shit wanker manager, Italy wont concede many goals but wont score many either (still might be worth an each-way bet though) and argentina have a manager that will prove to be the biggest hinderance in their quest to win it - his tantrums and outbursts will bring unwanted attention and pressure plus I think that tactically he is woefully inept

Engerland under capello also wont concede many goals and will be well organised. If they keep shrek fit and they dont make any keepers blunders then they have a chance. Personally I think the sooner they are knocked out the better cos then the media (sky, the various papers etc) will go back to concentrating on club football and the new season which is the priority for most of us anyway.

Would love to cream England. Supposed to be the most watched US game in history. Too bad we will probably fail to even get out of the group stage again.

I reckon you guys are definitely a chance of getting out of your group. I'll certainly be hoping for an upset win over England too. :barscarf:

England have been leaking goals under Capello, unless he is about to manage something in a week that he hasn't in two years, we will concede goals. Our hopes will be on our attack I fear, I'm thinking second round or last eight exit

Think Spain will win
