3 winners, shut your trap @ 10/1, 11/2 and get on my lover @ 5/1 -
wins over £180 quid but owes the bookie money by having a credit account and wins 75p

Might have a bit of that. 3/1 the best odds going or is it worth looking around?Swale_Gooner1985 wrote:A mate of mine who knows someone on the Liverpool board has been told Martin O'Neil is going to be appointed their new manager, my mate has put £100 on it he is that sure, its 3/1 with william hill

There's good odds for the WC all over the place. Germany to win their group @ 5/6 and Italy and Brazil likewise, both @ 8/15, is very generous odds. If I had more money, I'd be stacking it all over the place.Swale_Gooner1985 wrote:Im going to start getting a few world cup group bets on soon
I like the group winners one, but as you say France are very dodgy, it only takes one slip up!
A good bet is England and USA to qualify from the group, i saw it at evens, cant see any other outcome really?
They're all bookies' favourites to win their respective groups, so it makes sense.merson_is_god wrote:I put the same bet on group winners as u bring back pires!
Put 2.50 on though
Without wishing to sound too stoopid, is there a specialist world cup coupon or do you have to write all the bets out?Bring Back Pires wrote:They're all bookies' favourites to win their respective groups, so it makes sense.merson_is_god wrote:I put the same bet on group winners as u bring back pires!

I remember doing the same thing for World Cup 2006, and it was France that cost me the bet (they came second behind Switzerland). Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself.
Actually, looking into more detail, France were also favourites for their group in 2002... and finished rock bottom! Slightly regretting this now...
can't see italy or france to win their groupBring Back Pires wrote:The World Cup bets are placed:
- France, Argentina, England, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Brazil and Spain to win their groups (£5 returns £170)
- And another bet with the same group winners and these runners-up: Mexico, Nigeria, USA, Serbia, Cameroon, Paraguay, Portgual and Chile (all bookies' favourites; £1 returns £9,500).
I'd be surprised if the group forecast came in (hence the long odds), but am reasonably confident about the group winners bet. My only doubt is France, but I certainly wasn't going to back any of the others in their group. Plus, AW said France would win the group.
And Arsene knows!

something tells me italy will struggle...... I might stick a bit on france/uruguay 5/1..... uruguay/france 8/1 to qualify..... best site out there bet365... was looking at "qualification" for each groups.......Bring Back Pires wrote:I do it online to make matters simpler.Charlie! If you visit Bet365.com for instance, and head to the World Cup 2010 tab in the top left, you'll get a range of options. Select 'Group Betting' and then just click on whomever takes your eye. You can check the odds on the betslip.
CPHAMNER: Are you joking about Italy not winning their group? Because I really can't see Paraguay, Slovakia or New Zealand beating them to it. I'd be surprised if Italy didn't win at least two of those games.
Good call on the individual match coupon, I'll take a look at that right now.
out of all the groups i think it will be the following that will progress in no certain orderBring Back Pires wrote:The World Cup bets are placed:
