As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Hangeland doesn't really impress me much tbh, he's an oaf but I guess that is what Arsenal fans want. Plus he's left-footed and I wouldn't like to have 2 left-footer's at Centre Back. If anyone is coming the other way, it'll be Schwarzer.
Or they're actually strengthening their back 4 with some cover for him? TBH I think Senderos will do well under a good defensive coach like Hodgson as Wenger doesn't really "do" defending, and hope he does (except against us of course)
Treated pretty badly since returning from AC Milan I thought. A guy who helped us keep 14 clean sheets in the CL in 2006 displaced by the aging Silvestre & then shipped out on loan to Everton where he couldn't get a game despite us being desperate for centre backs during winter/spring just passed.
Not the best defender ever but always gave 100% & clearly cared about Arsenal - see that pic of him going mental at the NLD back in October. Best of luck Big Phil...
my endearing memory of senderos will be when he inexplicably caught the ball away to sevilla.
his departure was inevitable this summer but if the club weren't keen on playing him then why didn't he leave in 2008 instead.
