Always liked Big Phil - never gave less than 100%. He's been treated abysmally by Arsene over the past couple of years - twice the player Silvestre is. He was also treated abysmally by sections of the fans.

Ultimately, he was undone by his errors and the fact that Drogba steamrolled him every time - not unlike every other Arsenal centre-back.

When we went 8 points clear in 2008 Senderos and Gallas had built up a fine partnership - the following week Toure came back and it all began to fall apart. Senderos went back to bit-part playing and made the mistakes at Anfield that spelt the end for him.

Best of luck big man - a genuinely nice guy. Not sure if anyone can link to the photo of the Arsenal bench when Cesc scored at home to Spurs this season (haven't a clue how to do it myself) - Senderos' reaction shows a man who is Arsenal through and through.

Have to say that he has, to some degree, been made a scapegoat for our defensive frailties in recent seasons. He was a very promising defender pre the arrival of gallas and then for some reason (be it confidence, an inability to forge a partnership with anybody when he was out of the team for so long or whatever) he lost his way. As your last act as a gooner would you please kick that c*nt Xavi in the balls when ye play Spain next week.
Best of luck at Fulham and hope you have a nightmare when playing us (you'll probably have the 2 best games of your life though)

Hmmm... mixed feelings about this. Big P, really did need a commanding presence by his side, he was never the same player since being horribly raped by Drogba a few seasons back (but he's not alone in this), as others have stated, he was definitely a much better option that Silvestre, but the thing is when Wenger has made his mind up (Lehmann and now Senderos) on a player that's it really, it's just a shame that he can't cast this narrow mindedness elsewhere within our squad.

I wish him the best of luck in his career.

At last, at least now the guy can get on with his career and make the most of himself.
He's wasted a number of years with us, he should have been at a club more suited to his ability, fulham are about his level and if given the support of his manager and time to build his confidence i'm sure he will become a very valued member of their team.

Wasn't up to it on a consistant basis. Had a wonderful run en route to the CL final only to be dropped. Martin Keown's departure was probably most keenly felt by him.

For some reason Wenger has treated him scandalously. How anyone could think Tweety had more to offer than him is beyond me.

Anyhoo, he should make a good career for himself at Fulham.
