Now Dalglish has thrown his hat into the ring!! Seriously if that happens I will p**s myself laughing. His last job was 10 years ago and that was a failure at Celtic!
The strange thing is many of the Liverpool fans are hoping he does take over, which has more than a whiff of deluded Geordie 'KK messiah' about it.
I wonder if they have enquired about the likes of Hodgson and they won't go near the club until the owners have gone?If so that leaves Dalglish as the only option as Hicks and Gilett aren't going anywhere for a while!

Don't envy him the task of trying to match Jose Mourinho's achievements. Personally I wouldn't have gone within a million miles of the job at this moment in time. It's similar to replacing Fergie at United - taking over from a legend while having to maintaining the success rate the club have become accustomed to. A very difficult, if not impossible ask.
Unlike at Liverpool, as Inter have won the title for the past 5 years, winning the League is the very bare minimum required and even then might not prove enough.

Yea a bit of a surprise a bit like Ramos taking Spurs into the relegation zone then getting the Real Madrid job..go figure..1989 wrote:Can't believe the Inter job has gone to the fat bastard.
One good thing though i would assume they inquired about Capello taking over after the WC before they went to Rafa, so that means it's more likely he will be staying with England...

Been gutted ever since the news came. The club has got rid of the only voice that is willing to fight against the cancer within the club and the man the majority of Liverpool fans wanted to remain, they even spent £6 million just to do it. Absolute madness. Rafa gave this club it's pride back and now he gets this in return. Hopefully he'll come back in 2 years when his contract runs out with Inter and we get rid of the parasites within the club!
Cheers Rafa for giving me the best memories of my life as a Liverpool supporter.

BOJDE, do you not think Rafa had lost it somewhat though? Gerrard and Torres mouthing about him on the pitch showed he'd lost the dressing room, the zonal marking, some dubious tactical decisions with substitutes, the big money spent (depsite his protestations), the terrible form this year...it can't all be down to the owners...
