I'm off out to Bahrain in a couple of weks and was hoping to get to watch us with all the atmosphere and all. Maybe next time.

No, that's only part of the problem. I played with one of the new WC balls on Saturday and they are light as fuck. They go everywhere once they go airborne.
Quartz's comparison to a cheap plastic football is pretty accurate...
To be fair, any ball you kick would go anywhere..... I'm surprised you noticed any difference...

We're talking about the high spec ball. You will not believe how it moves in the air. One of our lads is a big toe merchant (hits every shot with his big toe, no technique, bit like Fwank ) and he loves it - all of a sudden after 20 years playing he can curl the fucker. He has no idea where it's gonna curl to, but it curls! Hilarious.
I deffo prefer the T90 even though I despise Nike.

Fair enough, it should be an experience when I play with the high spec one.
And when it was announced that the Barclays Premier League would be using a red Nike ball on one weekend in March to raise awareness for Bono’s Red charity, Arsene Wenger asked to have the ball delivered to the training ground three months in advance.
Even though it was the same as the standard Premier League ball in all but colour, Wenger made the point that the colour change affected the sight lines and systematically used it in training.

I played with the new ball and quite liked it. I played with the CL final ball from this year and thought it was similar. I do prefer nike footballs though

Those £80 ones are not the official ball.
The dearest one - ordered through club. Also played with the cheaper replica and there isn't that much of a difference - compared to the T90 etc the adidas ball is poor.

Would really like to have a go with one, have had a bounce with the £80 one in shop and thought it would be a bit lighter, but nothing major.
