Dont forget who is managing the Swiss national team. One of the most under-rated managers in the game, Ottmar Hitzfeld.

No Cesc? I thought he would be the replacement for Iniesta?

Like all the other managers Del Bosque was to cautious and played Xavi, Xabi and Busquets. That doesn't actually shout speed and quick attacking play. If Torres dint start then Navas or Cesc should have ahead of Busquets

Real Madrid keeper Casillas believes the big-match temperament of Robert Green, David James and Joe Hart could prove their undoing in the World Cup.

He said: "I can see why both Lionel Messi and Xavi have talked up England's chances at the World Cup because their class is undisputed. But their goalkeeping situation is a real problem.

"None of the keepers have played even European Cup level, that's the highest level you can play at club level.

"And if you have never played in the top club competition in the world, you are going to find it hard to perform at the top international level in the world when even more eyes are on you.

"If you look at myself, Gigi Buffon of Italy and Julio Cesar of Brazil, we are keepers who've all won European Championships, World Cups and European Cups.

"At this level nerves play a big part and any mistake a goalkeeper makes is going to be scrutinised.

"It's not always about ability at the World Cup, it's about having been there before and knowing how to handle the big games."

Typical Arsenal performance......

All the possession, no end product.
Lightweight.
Poor crosses from the flanks.
Lose the game.

Hmm.... are Switzerland 2010 the 'new' Greece of 2006???

Top, defensive minded German coach... team with little ambition... organised defensive system... and, most importantly, LUCK!

Greece started by beating Portugal in a very one-sided game, and now the Swiss have done the same to Spain.

Might be worth putting a few quid on the Swiss to lift the world cup, I reckon

Just hope Senderos' injury isn't too bad and he's back for the final :( - mind you, to mirror the Greece miracle, they'll have to beat Spain again in the final.

Is Cesc definately fully fit, though???

Anyway, Pedro was a revelation for Barca and scored plenty of important goals - not sure Del Bosque is a clown for putting Pedro, the Barcelona regular, on the pitch! :?
