THE FRANKSAV MUSIC THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Yes!

Good choice, a rarity on this thread.

I've seen Chris Cornell (Soundgarden's singer) perform solo. He put on a good show, did some Soundgarden and Audioslave songs.

I am seeing the brilliance of Cog tonight in what is most likely their final show ever to be held in Sydney.

yeah, they used to be pretty raw and intense. best show of my life was them down concorde 2 when architects were still awesome and techy and not generic deathy. mind you, that was about 5 years ago, and it makes me feel old.

It was quite frankly one of the best shows i have ever seen and Billy Joe Armstrong was just about as mad as you can get...fantastic.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were an ok warm up and before them some bloke called Frank Turner.....shite i say

44. calibre love letter is one of their best songs for sure. The first Alexisonfire song I ever heard and still one of my favourites. Pity they don't seem to play it live anymore... :?

I saw them at a festival here in February, but they're coming back to Sydney again later in the year. Think I'll probably go and see them again. :D

Most hated types of music.
1 dance music
2 rap
3 boy/girl bands
4 country and western
The top 2 I particularly despise without exception.

How can you hate a type of music? i enjoy every genre of music if it sounds good and effort has been put into making it. I'm not going to pretend i don't like it because i've told my brain i don't like that genre for some reason or another. Oh well just my opinion but i think people who restrict themselves are missing out :)

Good post CF

I find that I do dislike certain types of music more than others, but then a piece of music from within that genre surprises me and, if I had closed myself completely to that, then I would never have been able to appreciate it.

8)

Having said that - country and western can fuck off.
