I would have won something for England in the past

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I would have won something for England in the past

Post by merson_is_god »

Having looked through the previous England squads, I think if i chose the teams instead of some of te previous managers (greenwood, turnip Taylor and hoddle) then I would have won England a major trophy!

Here's how...

Early 70s qualifiers for 74 world cup
I would have played Malcolm Mc Donald, Charlie George and Rodney Marsh in more games.

Spain 82
Keegan from the start in the final group game and surely he would have scored.

Euro 92 in Sweden
Ian Wright starting up front with Chris Waddle on the wing.

Euro 96
Gazza to wear longer studs against the Krauts!
France 98
Matt Le Tissier and Gazza included in the World Cup squad.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but I really think with these changes in the past we would have won something and now we wouldn't have to put up with hearing about 1966 every England match!

Gazza France 98? Nah the prick Hoddle did the right thing Gascoigne was fucked by then, the only people that didn't know that were Chris Evans, Danny Baker and the *word censored* Gascoigne himself.........

Oh and in Euro 92, Seaman in goal instead of Chris Woods (who conceded seven against us at Highbury against his club Sheffield Wednesday) and Tony Adams at the back!
