Arrogance? No offence mate but i have more quality in my little toe then that entire algerian team. The only team in world football that doesn't have the right to arrogance when approaching a game against algeria is Dog & Duck United.
No need for insults mate...G19 is only giving his personal point of view. I frankly wouldn't care about the quality you possess in your little toe, 'cos that isn't the argument.

Maybe the Ingurlish press should stop blowing smoke up the players @rses, will help the players realise their shortcomings. I have too say, on their day if all Ingurlish players perform at the top of their game, they are world beaters   , but evryone seems to paper over the cracks and hope for the best. FFS even Shrek came out today and said something along the line that, even if england don't perform at their best they will still beat Algeria.

So how bad were they?
Wheres the insult? its a fairly honest and accurate assesment of the Algerian national football team which is easily backed up by their results, no personal insults included at any point.

That was frankly the worst England performce i have ever seen in my entire life yet we still have not lost the game. If anything we were over generous to the algerians before the game with capello describing them as a "good team".

Once again, nothing personal against Gunner19 or Algerians, just an honest account.

EDIT: As for the Press comment, its easy to blame the media but really, if these players cant honestly assess their own performances without the help of the press then frankly they do not deserve to be playing football at a proffessional level.
There's your insult mate. I BOLDED it for you. I honestly don't care how the Ingurland team performs, because they all seem to believe their own hype. As I said earlier, on their day they can be world class, but they ain't as good as the media makes them out to be.
Sure, its an insult if gunner19 happens to be a proffessional footballer in the algerian national team..

looking at the team playing in the last game can someone tell me how different the team is from mclarren's / sven's

4-4-2 Gerrard wide fat frank in the middle and lennon on the right, with Heskey playing as the target man for Rooney.

Aaron Lennon is shite, Heskey played very well and was chasing back and coverig in defence and Rooney was a petulant sod!

The media just can't stop their xenophobia. Claridge was on BBC this morning laying the blame at Capello's door. His argument was based on Gerrard playing wide left. He completely ignored the fact that he played through the middle against USA and the team was still woeful. He said players didn't know what was expected of them  Rooney and Heskey up front. I think they should know their striker's role. Lampard and Barry in middle - tick for understanding their role. Lennon out wide - tick. Cole and Johnson pushing forward from full back - tick. Who the fuck in the team was in an unfamiliar role??? Oh yes - I think playing Gerrard just behind Rooney is going to answer all England's prayers  I think we should conveniently forget he hasn't turned up in a football shirt this season. His only outstanding performance was getting acquitted.

I was really looking forward to the World Cup but England are again playing like a shower of shite. I think the problem with England is the demigogue status the players adopt and the pundits alot them. Poor technique is dismissed because they have grit and courage. AW complaining about overt aggression on talented players is derided by fat sam and his ilk at Hull/Stoke and in the press. Foreigners just can't stand up to the English style without whinging  .

As is evident in South Africa; we have no style. Shawcross wouldn't last 45 minutes on a world cup pitch. The richest federation in the world still refuse to develop technique through funding Burtonwood. Let's continue to celebrate mediocrity in the English game and build the lads up as if they are gods. Then for some stupid English reason, we still get surprised when we get behaviour like Terry/Gerrard/Cole etc  .

Let's celebrate each Shawcross/Taylor/Terry lunge beacuse it shows grit and teaches those talented players not to take the piss. Is there a single English player in the game today who has a fraction of the technique of RVP/Messi/Ronaldo?

Then, when we get what we deserve at tournaments and are globally ridiculed by der Kaiser and all for our lack of guile and technique; rather than face up to the fact that this very average/overhyped team is our own creating, we blame the foreign manager!

No comments on the Australia game?!?!?!?

Were none of you watching?

The Aussies played very well, a man down after 25 minutes and Ghana only scored because of a penalty. Still undecided on the Kewell send off but I'm leaning towards he should've stayed. Of course that's my heart against my head there. Hand ball on the line is a hand ball after all... :?

Really need Germany to thrash Ghana now and Australia to beat Serbia. It can still happen!

Also...Mark Schwarzer made some good saves, one particularly nice one diving low to his right. :barscarf:

Keep believing, RaM! :barscarf:

I'm unsure about the Kewell sending off, too. Was it 100% intentional?? I don't know :?

The ball was blasted at him at some pace, and I'm not sure it was possible fot him to get out of the way of the shot, to be honest. Maybe he leaned into the ball a bit, and maybe he could have just about got his arm out of the way, but his arm was by his side and it hit his bicep, so it's a tough call, and certainly not clear cut.

I can't blame the ref for sending him off though - it was a fair decision, even if Kewell perhaps was more a victim of circumstances rather than an out right cheat.

Bad luck really, and a point isn't ideal - good luck against Serbia!

Yeah that's right. Not much Kewell could have done really. I couldn't see any intent there anyway.

But the ref can't be slaughtered for this call. He had a second to decide and probably had a view of it through a crowded box.

Cahill will be back against Serbia so definitely a boost there.

Yes i watched RAM,

Kewell definitely handballed it and since he stopped a goal he had to go, what on earth was he protesting so much for, he must have known he had handballed it yet he continued to plead his innocence long after he had been carded, has he no shame.

I thought Ghana were gonna go on and get 3 or 4 so for OZ to get a draw and nearly a win out of the game was a great effort.
Ghana only have themselves to blame for not getting the three points. For all their talent and experience in european football they still play with a similar naiveity of African teams of the 70's..

You lot are still in with a chance cos anything could happen in that group now, i'd love to see Ghana beat the Germans after Beckenbauer's outbursts this week and all the hype after their first game...and i'd love to see you lot beat Serbia cos the way we are playing we are gonna need to play a second rate outfit if we are planning on going any further than the last 16

You really think so?

I'm one of the few people over here who thinks its at all decent.

It was very heavily criticised when it came out, but I think the green/yellow works well. People wanted to stick with the entirely yellow kit that's been around since the last World Cup, but to be honest I think a lot of fans here only watched the game for the first time when Australia made the World Cup in 2006 and probably haven't watched another match until 2010.

The funny thing is, my grandad has the previous one!

We had got up about 8 in the morning to watch Australia play Iraq of all teams, think result was something like 2-1? And he saii really love that shirt, so i bought him one from a mate who lives in Adelaide with his name and favourite number on the back, yet to get his opinion on this one though! :barscarf:

The Aussies played well but Ghana still looked very dangerous. If we were to qualify, who would you like us to face in the last 16?

Australia would be tough, I dont want to face Germany as I hate them, Serbia would be tricky and Ghana have such a loud following and African sides can be difficult opposition.

Also add the fact that Australia would definitely lift to play against the old mother country.

Always sure to see a strong Aussie response if they're the underdogs in a match against England, regardless of the sport.
