you're joking right? he does use the horrible "like a new signing" at times, but he wouldn't say he needs new defenders one week and then sign silvestre the following.

the man is a little deluded (like everyone), but he hasn't lost it.
Yes, I was joking... I'm sure an ACTUAL signing will be made, and Koscielny seems the obvious one at this point
i seem to never get hold of the british humour

For a while i saw a bit of 'The Doberman' Campbell in him and thought he
had a lot of Potential but only was so so at West Brom and missed a lot
of chances whilst there . Will probably do well out in Nicosia with his hustle bustle style . Yep , another one bites the dust .

I expect Mark Randell to follow Simpson out, not good enough for our squad since the first time I saw them play.

His president and his coach will let him go.

Arsenal contacted his agents the week after the end of the last season. He and his agents met Wenger.
But is he good enough?
Is he replacing Tweety or Gallas?

We should sign Chiellini!

As I said on another thread I am now in the lets sign kjaer group - would be a good quality signing with international experience under his belt, would be young enough to be a typical wenger signing and would surely be a better price and more obtainable than chellini

According to FansFC.com and their Top story , "Bordeaux don't have to sell Gourcuff to Arsenal" and that "they will see what way he will feel after the World Cup "
Pretty shit is my lucky guess :) Besides if that's all he has to offer , what makes him such an attractive proposition to us . Unless of course his performance so far is sympathetic of Domenech and poor squad morale .
Reports from regular French football followers suggest otherwise .

That story was out last week but if you were a top young player as he is rumoured to be would you rather bale out of the french league now rather than wait for the inevitable fans backlash next season ? Personally I would have my wife/girlfriend/mistress packing my bags as we speak cos the shit will most certainly hit the fan in france after this debacle in south africa.

I have to say that I really havent seen enough of him yet to form a definite opinion of him as a player but unlike some I felt that he has shown enough to suggest that he might well be a sucess in our french colony in london. He is nowhere near cesc's level but then again not many are but he is young enough to adapt and develop and the fact that we are renowned for developing your french players might well be an asset. Again I should also say that for any young player going into that french squad with so many older power hungry players must be a nightmare - it has already been well established that some of the older players pressed for his exclusion from the team so it is hardly the right enviroment for any young player to shine is it ?

I have seen alot of the guy augie...and I have to say that this guy could be the real deal. And I don't throw that around lightly.

One way to come at it from is to say how would this guy fare and develop in the premier league, and I would say he has everything to be a success in English football and add strength and different aspects to an already good technique.

If Wenger wants to work with some more advanced raw material, he could do much worse.

As I said before, Gourcuff just had a below par season in comparison to the last were he and Chamakh were heavily influential to Bordeaux clinching the league title.

That was my view on him as well marc and his style of play reminds me a bit of a younger version of kaka albeit the substance isnt there yet. As I have said before keeping an unsettled cesc is not good for us next season so replacing cesc for gourcuff at half the price could well be a good deal allowing wenger to reinforce other areas of the team into the bargain 8)

Its was more down to little Injuries which stopped his flow than anything, playing 37 league games during his loan season to the 29 he played this season.

I still think he will add alot to our side, he has the passing ability with the little give and go, his set-pieces alone will make him a huge asset which will benefit Chamakh Nick e.t.c and he scores goals from long shots(freekicks or open play) which will give Robin some much needed competition.

Yes he is similar to Kaka in that he has the physical presence being 6ft1 and can drive through the middle with the skill and purpose to make things happen.

Should Cesc go then he will be my first choice.

Question for Vince

Isn't Laurent Koscielny left footed?, why would Arsene want to have 2 first choice left footed defenders when he is always going on about balance :? and if Koscielny isn't first choice then why the hell is Arsene wasting time signing a cover when we dont have a first choice right footed defender or is he planing on playing Johan who hasn't played footie for a year  :hmmthink:

Answer first question please, the rest is just me pondering
