THE PROJOE TOTALLY POINTLESS TRANSFER RUMOUR THREAD

augie wrote:That was my view on him as well marc and his style of play reminds me a bit of a younger version of kaka albeit the substance isnt there yet. As I have said before keeping an unsettled cesc is not good for us next season so replacing cesc for gourcuff at half the price could well be a good deal allowing wenger to reinforce other areas of the team into the bargain 8)
Gunnerdude sums hims up quite well augie, and yep he does have that sort of thing that kaka has.

I also agree that we could reinforce in other areas, but that depends on whether Wenger actually wants to, or sees the real need to. I think Gourcuff would be quite strong through the centre, allowing our creative play to be directed through him and Arshavin.

GunnerDude wrote:Question for Vince

Isn't Laurent Koscielny left footed?, why would Arsene want to have 2 first choice left footed defenders when he is always going on about balance :? and if Koscielny isn't first choice then why the hell is Arsene wasting time signing a cover when we dont have a first choice right footed defender or is he planing on playing Johan who hasn't played footie for a year  :hmmthink:

Answer first question please, the rest is just me pondering
Just looked on football manager, it says he is Right Footed.

Chamakh, Laurent Koscielny and Gourcuff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0gbV5BC ... re=related

What a header by Chamakh, Unthinkable freekick by Gourcuff but its not the first time, Laurent gets sent off and his team gets hammered. Thats said Ajax conceeded 40+goals before we signed Verm

Cheers CF

not arsenal transfer news, but interesting nevertheless:

Prem eyes on Gilberto
The likes of Fulham, Blackburn, Everton and Liverpool are all thought to be monitoring Gilberto's situation at Panathinaikos.

That's the beauty of dealing with lesser profile players , it tends not be to
as soap operatic and long drawn out . And i suppose less bull shit with
greedier parasitic football agents where they want an even bigger slice of the cake .
If he's in the bag , that's one piece of the defensive jig-saw needed :barscarf:
