As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I like their attitude and mindset really and it reminds me of Arsenal teams of the past.....we might be playing teams that are better technically than us but they will not succeed against us Of course another reason why I like them is that they won money for me when I backed them to win the last wc

a bit like the current brazilian team so. there not a patch on teams from the 80s early 90s. no flair and 2 defending defenders stuck in there own half for fear an attack will come

the difference is that brazil has kaka, while italy have nothing. there is not a robinho on their side as well, a small quick fella capable of dribbling past two or three players and a killer pass. also, luis fabiano is a much better finisher than gilardino and iaquinta will ever be (just look at the first goal against ivory coast).
brazil is a defensive side nowadays mostly because we have a few of the best defenders in the world (julio cesar, maicon, lucio, dani alves, juan) and not the same offensive quality we used to have before. it's about building your team to your strenghts...
it's not a good brazilian side as it used to be, but it is still a lot better and more capable of creating gols out of nothing than italy, who is a team who clearly doesn't have goals in them.

I enjoyed the game and I was supporting Slovakia BUT on reflection, I'd rather see France vs. Argentina (instead of Mexico) and Italy vs. A N Other (rather than Slovakia) in the last 16.
