As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Have to say that I would take 35m for rvp - its not that I dont rate him but he aint a 35m player and he aint got enough pace for my liking
I am sympathetic to this view. However, I know full well that we will not spend the money on a high quality replacement.
Agree with you totally on that point
Certainly agree on that point, 35M would be good business. Sadly we know that 10M Max would only be available for the replacement...!!
No doubt RVP is a talented player but how many seasons can we carry on with him missing half of it.If we did sell him we would still have the new Bergkamp.................Nic Bender

I bet Robin plays that loud on his i-pod every day, and makes sure he's walking past Wenger at the same time.
According to Justarsenal.com Wenger thinks Honda has been player of the tournament so far . Last time he oohed and aahed about a player at a major
tournament was when Arshavin shone at Euro Championships in 08 , and well , y'all know the rest .
So , is he going to go down that road ?
Pick out a Centre back and DM that shines instead please Arsene .
Looks a quality player though , just got to get our priorities right first .

Fabregas ‘may stay’, but Arsenal still want Gourcuff
Meanwhile, as Arsenal fend off Barcelona, they're doing a bit of hunting themselves (though all above aboard, of course) and French midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is in their sights. The 23-year-old was a member of the shambolic French World Cup squad but that doesn't appear to have deterred Arsene Wenger and now Bordeaux coach Jean Tigana has admitted he would have to sell Gourcuff to the Gunners if the price is right. Talking to French sports daily L'Equipe about the situation he said: "Since I arrived, I've said: he has a buyout clause of £22 million. If someone comes and buys him, I will not have my say."
Well Wenger does have some kind of love for Japan. Coached there, and also brought Inamoto to the club.
He's a decent player, but more importantly to the board, he will bring many Japanese tourists to the stadium, and sell even more shirts throughout Asia!

In fairness ram I would say that he is better than just a decent player - in fact I would go so far as to say that technically he is better than the likes of bendtner and eduardo

Have you seen him play any club football though?
I've only seen him at the World Cup so don't want to be too generous in my praise.

Unlike Inamoto, Honda is currently playing in Italy. (Roma I think?).
Plus the family 4 door version sales quite well.
