Anyone ever listened to Pendulum?

Only just started to listen to them today...they're Aussies, but I'd just never given them much of a listen before.

I knew that ages ago two members of the legendary Karnivool had contributed to one of their songs.

Now I've seen that on their latest album they've had contributions from two other favourite bands of mine - Steven Wilson (of Porcupine Tree) and In Flames!

Knowing that Steven Wilson only associates with the best, and that In Flames are brilliant, I thought they were worth a listen. So I've listened to those songs off the album and I like them, will now have a listen to the rest. :D

Pendulum are pretty sweet, I bought the new album the other day.

The best song they ever made was 'Watercolour', Vocals are pretty good an the beat is ace.

'TAKE ME OUT OF HEREEEEEE'

Oh and just bought my sunday ticket to reading, You Me At Six followed by All Time Low

About two and a half hours of awesome modern pop-punk!

Loooooool if you say Watercolour is their best song then you have only just started to listening to them. They have dozens of quality songs from years ago when they were considered better. I do like Watercolour and everything off the new album but the old stuff is better and stronger drum and bass. Also i have seen them live and they are amazing :)

Shame on you RaM for only just starting to listen to them but good that you have because they are one of the best bands in the world today :)

Ok...so I've listened to:

"Hold Your Colour" - with guitar and bass provided by Drew Goddard and Jon Stockman of Karnivool. :barscarf:

"Self vs Self" - featuring In Flames

"The Fountain" - featuring Steven Wilson

And like all of them.

Have now listened to: Slam, Blood Sugar and Showdown (just some randoms from Limewire...) and like them too. So where to from there?

Was chatting in the pub on Saturday night with some other miserable old bastards like myself. :)
And we all agreed that all todays bands are fucking shite, and couldn't "string the guitars" of the rock bands from the 70s and 80s. :barscarf:
When rockers were rockers and we all had long hair and wore denims covered with badges. 8)
Those were the days, so you can shove your modern imitation of the real thing up your fucking holes.

For the majority of cases, that is most certainly true.

Why?

I believe it is because the media control how the majority think, and the majority have become so stupid now that any intelligent music is intolerable.

The result?

While in the past incredible bands or musicians were easily accessible to the public, the mainstream music forced upon the world in the present is created by plastic personalities with absolutely no talent. Talented musicians do still exist though, they just aren't being heard.

Just imagine the likes of Pink Floyd started out in the present day music industry. They would not "break into" the charts at all, because the few who proclaim their talent are drowned out by the idiots who think the characters topping the charts are genuinely talented...

Aussie band. :D

I believe they are sometimes allowed to tune Karnivool's instruments for them these day...but only if they do a really good job polishing their boots that week.
