Official World Cup Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Saying that how crazy are we that we didn't pick either of them up... :banghead: :banghead:

This has to be my favourite forum game of all time, when other teams have good or in-form players its Wenger's fault for not signing them

Yes how right you are     but enough about the games you play..

Some of us actually take an interest in players from other countries and other leagues long before they turn up and have a couple of good games in the World Cup. So it's not unreasonable to want our manager and his vast scouting system to be doing the same when a great opportunity arises....

It reminds me of when Barca played us except Spain did not score, until now  Now we will see what the germans are made of.

Nevertheless I think the germans will beat Spain
As with any other player in the universe, we've been linked with him

Trochowski is a blighter. Absolut no PL quality. No Wenger style. Can´t see that happening.
Surely he can't be worse than Eduardo?

You were right

Looks like it.

Actually it looks like a bit of a Freddie-type incident, doesn't it? Centre half gives flair player a rough time in training game and flair player spits the dummy...

Have there been any reports in Germany about a bust up between Ballack and the rest of the squad? I heard something on the radio about it here. I think it's all speculation besause Lahm came out with some statement about the captains armband on Monday while Ballack was fling back to Germany.
Yes, there was something like a bust up. Ballack flew in for the Argentina match. After the 4-0 Lahm said that he will remain captain after the World Cup.
Ballack had to leave the team hotel; official statement: the medical staff do not have the ability to treat another injured player (Ballack) :D :pancho:
