The board(this is especially for USmartin )

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

:?

Seriously Martin, don't you think it's a bit pretentious to get everyone to research the great stuff you've done in the name of Arsenal?

Why not just tell us the story about the "scars" inflicted on you in your "fight" for Arsenal? :?

It sounds interesting, and I'd quite like to know more if you wouldn't mind, mate, but I haven't got the time or energy to start researching high and low for something you could easily link to or write about on the forum.
I don't acre to discuss all of it - its not fun or happy or exciting -nor was there some great reward for it. Having said that I do it the same way if I had to do it again.

By research I meant for QG since he already seems to have done some in his posting the link to Arsenal Action. I was only suggesting he do more research to prove his point. I nver meant that everybody should research me or my background. I find it offensive that anyone should frankly as though I don't actually support Arsenal something no one else here has really suggested. I don't have to prove my support to QG or anybody. I think its clear

But as I say QG already has begun I wanted to let him to a thorough job.

You're clearly an intelligent person, so I don't believe for a second those hints into how to research you were for QG alone. That could have been done by private message.

You speak of scars in your fight for Arsenal - wouldn't it be easier just to tell your story instead of drip feeding it into a very public conversation (on a forum viewed by hundreds) and passing it off as a private message to QG. It's obvious you have an agenda, and I just wish you'd cut to the chase.

If there's a story to tell, then tell it. You clearly want to anyway or you wouldn't make it sound so dramatic.

so bored of this guy now.
scars?love for arsenal?petition?

think quartz gave you some pretty decent advice but you chucked it back at him.

also, seriously hope you have lived over here for a decent period of time or at least have a damn good reason for supporting arsenal,i follow the pittsburgh penguins in nhl because mario lemieux inspired me to play the game as a kid,but i'd never dream of going on a penguins forum to question every aspect of the club without a damn good reason.

just think its kinda weird
most of us support this club thru thick and thin because its about more than results on and off the pitch, its where we're from and who we are.what we stand for(class, tradition and being better then sperz)
but then some yank fella comes on here telling us he cares more about the club than us just because he's started some little petition and we dont back it.

oh....and as for not being able to look ourselves in the eye.....
i couldnt look myself in the eye if i ever finished one of your posts

USMartin is obviously Stan Kroenke. He literally fought for his shares with several of the board members and was badly scarred by Peter Hill-Wood's biting. He said he'll be back to get more shares but the board hired extra security hence his angst at the cowardly board not willing to fight for the shares.

The end.

Well put!

No problem with Martin being American, I consider that irrelevant, but the rest of it says what I think.

To suggest that the board suddenly stopped wanting the team to succeed from 2005 onwards, in favour of the board's personal wealth accumulating, is to me a bizarre idea.

USMartin you have shied away from naming names.

What individuals on the board, 2005 - present, do you declare as having acted in self interest over the interests of Arsenal Football Club?

First ioff if you don't finish one of my posts what qualifies you to judge me in anyway whatsoever?

Second off is supporting Arsenal is all about class tradition and being better than s***s then why do we give a toss about anything the team does now? After al the class and tradition are already here, and being better then s***s come on do we even have to think about that? So why should we care where we finish in the Premiership if we even win another trophy or whether we get embarassed by Barca or United or Chelsea ?

No that's just trying to make yourself feel better when we lose really. So winning and losing do matter. How much? Depends on what we're capable of doing. I remember when beating Liverpool United and s***s made for a really good season, and a satisfactory season was a Cup Final ideally winning thrown in. The whole issue here is that from 1998-2005 we showed Arsenal could do a lot more if the club wanted to. Go ahead tell me those weren't some of the best times of your life a supporter . Tell me you'd rather see fight to avoid relegation instead of truly being among the best teamns in the World when it can be. Surely you didn't enjoy those years as much as 1982-1984 because winning isn't important to you?

The real shame is I could right a 10,000 word piece on why John Terry's a *word censored* a you'd love it even if I posted it in a thread about tits - which actually make sense   Okay a thread about asses - oh damn...

I think the point stands. Read what I say then criticize it.

Do the research then we'll talk.

You want to engage in blacklisting opinions you don't like. You accused me of being just a wind-up merchant . Back it up now or be a man and admit your accusation was untrue.

One last point I have named one person specifically in our earlier discussions. So the answer's out there, but if you want you can get it now. I am solely concerned with you delibearte false accusation. Now do your research then or admit your claim was false and baseless and solely designed to discredit my views.

Thank you.
