Cesc in Barca shirt!

Im sorry but there is no defending the guy.

OUR captain in a Barca shirt with a nice big smile on his face. I dont give a fuck whether it was put on him or not, he didnt exactly fight them off did he.
I don’t understand why so many people want to stick up for a guy who we all know has asked to leave.

Not just the shirt last night, but the entire summer saga has put me off him. Very little loyalty or class shown by our captain.

He’s gone the way of greedybaymoneywhore for me if he stays....i wont cheer him, sing songs about him (not that we have many). If he stays its because he has no other choice.

ARSENAL DONT NEED CESC OR HIS TYPE................SELL HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The lad is celebrating a world cup win for spain and should go into an all out melee infront of the world just to show he is Arsenal through and true to please YOU

Come on! Cesc dint even see the top being put on him

You are directing you anger in the wrong direction imo, one would think you would be pissed at the Barca *word censored* and Reina the barca reject for tricking him.

He could have done this before the world cup by commiting himself to the club. I dont need him to prove he's arsenal through and through because he isnt.

You obviously think its all press bollocks and he'll stay?

If he is going then fine but unlike you I won't be blaming one of the world's best midfielders at 23yrs old for leaving, rather I would be wanting to find out why he doesn't see himself being successful with us and look to address the issue to help move our club forward to the heights of Barca(a club we are clearly not on the same level with on the pitch).

Eboue-Why? wrote:B-G that was a very good and well written post. But, what you have to understand is that football fans work in simple terms. If Cesc had come out pre-World Cup and said something along the lines of, 'I'm flattered by Barcelona's interest, but I'm under contract to Arsenal for another 4 years and want to honour that contract' then everything is sorted and we don't have to spend hours on Forums debating what may or may not happen. But he hasn't, mainly because he wants to go...at some stage. So without that sort of confirmation from our Captain, we will all fear the worst. I'm not criticising Cesc, because he must be in a difficult position but all Arsenal fans want to see their best player stay and as well as you put your point, none of us really know what is going on. Until Cesc says he's staying, what are we to think?

What are we to think ?

That Cesc plays for us and has been a star for us in his time at the club..he shouldn't have to respond to every shit stirring story that is written in the press about him..it would be a full time job if he did because every denial would be just followed by another story, the press feed on reactions to their bullshit.. this summer he has had far more important things to do than allow this shit to distract him....

When there is a story in the press about Diaby going to Inter or Song going to Panathinaikos, we don't expect them to come out with a denial and slag them off and believe it because they don't...we take it all with a pinch of salt because we know that the press will write any old shit to fill space..

Beyond all that even if Cesc chose to leave, good luck to him, to all but the retarded it would be understandable that he would want to leave, we should be thankful that he hasn't already and if he does leave we should thank him for his service and wish him well.

So to create hate figures around the situation reacting to every petty bit of nonsense or lie blown up by the media, doesn't make any sense especially considering that 99% of what the press write is proven to be bullshit every time any legitimate facts come out..such as both Rosell and Laporta admitting that Arsenal have not and refuse to even discuss the matter which kind of discredits every other story written on the matter and yet some still prefer to jump all over every thing they are fed on the subject like it's the end of the world..

I'm sorry but I cannot agree with that - cesc has not be demonised by his own fans (if this forum is anything to go by) and if you read the postings on here you will find quite a large % actually defending him and supporting his reasons to leave. That is not to say that we do not want him to stay cos all of us want him to stay but there is only so much shit you can take and how much bullshit from the manager and board that you are willing to listen to

I have to say also that telling yourself that cesc hasnt asked to leave is wishful thinking in the extreme - I accept that cesc hasnt said much publicly but cant you tell a lot by his silence ? Think about how many times in the past the guy has come out publicly rubbishing these rumours and ask yourself why this time is different. Fact is, in my opinion at least, cesc has asked to go but respects wenger too much to force his way out but that does not dilute his wish to go and if you think wenger wouldnt keep a player against their wishes try and think back to PV4 and henry and you will find two examples of where you are wrong on this
I wasn't suggesting that 'all' the fans are demonising him..

I'm not telling myself Cesc hasn't asked to leave...i've seen no facts to prove that he has asked and in the absence of real facts to say he has asked i'll take everything suggesting otherwise written in the press as guessing or out and out shit stirring..

I don't know about you, but I'm supporting Madrid from now on in Spain (SPAIN, not Catalonia, you hypocrite *word censored*).. Those Catalan fuck-wits should be shot. I hate them so much.. Wish them all not to win a trophy for the next 20 years.

Cmon Arsenal!! Vamos Madrid!! :barscarf:

Real Madrid are much, much lower on class than Barcelona. They are just classless. The way they buy players and then dump them. And great players too. Barcelona have built their team from the academy. Even Cesc is a Catalan boy. Whilst Real Madrid just try and buy their glory. Remember their conduct with Cristiano Ronaldo every summer before he joined them? And remember Real's conduct with Henry when they wanted to sign him?

The problem here is that those clubs are bigger than us at the moment and will conduct themselves like that. I would love Clichy, Sagna, Diaby and Nasri to harass/tap Ribery or Benzema into joining us. Might be viewed classless and cheap but all is forgotten once victory comes. The end sometimes justifies the means.

Real madrid did get rid of sneider and robben, and both of them ended up in the champions league final whereas real madrid got knocked out to lyon.

CESC FABREGAS has reassured Arsenal fans by claiming images of him wearing a Barcelona shirt 'mean nothing'.
Fabregas was celebrating Spain's World Cup victory on Monday night when Barca pair Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique pulled their club's famous jersey over his head.
The Gunners midfielder is keen to return to the Nou Camp but insists the incident was nothing more than a practical joke by his countrymen.
Fabregas, 23, said: "These are things that happen at special moments.
"I don't think it should be gone on about much more because it was just another anecdote of a great night, a great celebration.
"There are times we do not even know what we do, so everything can be forgiven.
"I didn't know anything like that was going to happen and so I was a bit surprised.
"At first I thought it was a flag or something, but it's nothing.
"You had to enjoy it and if it's a way to have fun, it's nothing."

Are we reassured? :?:

Well Basil, people complain when Cesc doesn't immediately come out to dispel rumours about him moving to barca,, but he's not remained silent on this and has quickly said it didn't mean anything, and if you look at the video you can see how he was trying to get out from under the barca kit but reina was holding his hands to stop him. But i'm sure there will still be people that won't look at any of those points and instead see cesc as 'whoring himself to barca'....
