Barnet

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Or, shockingly, has that fallen dramatically on its arse?

I will be watching it on good ol' atvo
On Friday afternoon, Arsenal.com hope to announce the squad for the opening friendly at Barnet the following day.

This game is the traditional curtain-raiser to the Club’s pre-season campaign and extends the close working relationship with the League Two side, who will once again play host to Arsenal Reserves for selected games in 2010/11.

No-one’s participation is guaranteed on Saturday. However it is expected that the Arsenal squad will consist of younger players and some of the senior stars who have already started pre-season training.

This group includes new signings Marouane Chamakh and Laurent Koscielny plus Manuel Almunia, Thomas Vermaelen, Tomas Rosicky, Samir Nasri, Theo Walcott, Denilson, Jack Wilshere, Johan Djourou, Andrey Arshavin and Kieran Gibbs.

Bloody Hell.......you mean one of our current Goalkeepers might be playing in a pre-season friendly? Why does that shock you?

Or maybe we should just play monkey rush until a new one arrives..? :?:

One would think Wojciech Szczesny would be given a chance considering Almunia will be off soon but then again the bid for Schwarzer might just be hot air till the window closes and we are stuck with one of the worst premier league goalies.

I think ol' Woocech will probably get a half, but he is probably included in the "youngsters part" of the article. They have just named the 1st teamers to try and get some support along

It's still a free country isn't it. I'm sure you can "turn up" anywhere you like, mate. What a silly question.

Well in my notification email it told me I had to pick them up from the box orifice! (even though they posted it) so they must have staff dealing with tickets on the day.

if you live near by might be worth a punt
